Eating right is probably the most important aspect of staying healthy and staying in shape. Fruits and vegetables are a tasty and healthy way to get important vitamins in your body, but not all fruits and veggies are equal. Here are 19 healthy fruits and vegetables.

1. Lemon

Most people don’t normally just eat lemons by themselves, but lemon juice does offer several health benefits. Lemons offer a high level of vitamin C. The citric acid and plant compounds in lemon juice also has the ability to help treat kidney stones and has the potential to lower blood pressure and prevent weight grain.

 

2. Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts are an excellent source for calcium folic acid, fiber and vitamin K, A and C. Brussel sprouts are also very low in calories.

 

3. Orange

Oranges contain thiamine, folate, vitamin C and potassium. The citric acid in oranges also provide a lot of other health benefits such as; help prevent anemia and may reduce the risk of kidney stones.

 

4. Broccoli

Broccoli contains very high amounts of fiber. A fresh cup of broccoli has 2.4 grams of fiber while cooked broccoli contains over five grams of fiber per cup.
