DC Hotels Did Better Weekend Business for Trump Inaugural Than Obama

Washington, D.C., hotels saw better business over President Trump’s inaugural weekend than they did for both of President Obama’s inaugurations, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

According to a report by the data and analytics company that tracks hotel bookings, around 91,000 hotel rooms in the Washington, D.C., area were sold on Jan. 19, before Trump was sworn in. The average room rate was $346.78 a night.
