Lending his hand and his business to President Donald Trump and the U.S. amid the coronavirus pandemic, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is now manufacturing facemasks for healthcare workers.
“@MyPillowUSA is excited to announce that we are now manufacturing face masks for hospitals across the country!”
The production announcement comes as the nation is calling on the Defense Production Act to put U.S. manufacturing capabilities into handling the shortage of personal protection equipment for healthcare workers.
Known as PPE (personal protective equipment), the gowns, masks, and gloves have been burned up to conduct mass coronavirus testing, stressing supply for doctors and hospitals around the world and the country. To safely avoid spreading viruses to healthcare workers conducting tests, a set of PPE is burn on each patient.
MyPillow announced via Twitter the masks made will not be available to the public, to focus its supply to medical facilities:
“[email protected] has joined the fight against #COVID19. We are now producing face masks for our nation’s #healthcareworkers. These are not for sale to the public. #strongertogether”
