Liberal Dems Want to Buy and Sell Black People

By: - June 20, 2019

Coleman Hughes, a black writer for Quillette, committed an outlandish act yesterday in front of a Dem-led House hearing on payoffs to blacks to make white liberals feel better about themselves.

He thought for himself.

Refusing to accept the bribe offered by the Dems to buy his support and not recall a century of Jim Crow Dixiecrat bigotry and the subsequent near destruction of black families and living conditions by Dem policies, he said, “Black people don’t need another apology. We need safer neighborhoods and better schools… And none of these things can be achieved by reparations for slavery… If we were to pay reparations today, we would only divide the country further… We would insult black Americans by putting a price on the suffering of their ancestors.”

Wanna guess what happened when he said this?

He got booed by leftists in the audience. So much so that even the Dem head of the committee, pathetically trying to seem cool, told his aggravated Dem supporters to “chill.”

Hughes was booed yesterday by actual racist authoritarians who think the only political option a black or brown guy has is to agree with them. We colored folk (I like to think of my Latin self as light mahogany) better stay down on the liberal plantation just like Dem massuh wants. Or else they’re gonna boo us like Sanders, Harris, Warren, Gillibrand, and O’Rourke, all reparations supporters, would do. Can’t have them coloreds being too uppity, now can we Bernie? Makes them harder to control on Election Day. And you folks love control, now don’t you Liz?

For you see, given their party’s history, the Dems just can’t help wanting to put black people up for sale on the block. This time to be sold for votes with reparations as the price.

Well, Coleman Hughes has other ideas.

He refuses to be bought like the political property of the Democratic Party. He realizes, as does any decent person, the American horror that was slavery. But he rejects the false premise that the sins of the fathers are inevitably visited upon the great great grandsons. He understands that not all white people are inherently racist, as the left would have you believe. And he knows that black people do not automatically have their hands out for federal cash. Many, especially under this administration, are doing fine and much better than they did under Democratic administrations.

Mostly he will not let historically and currently racist Dems off the hook by accepting hush money for the 150 years of damage they have done to black people in this country through lynching, discrimination, segregation, murder, destruction, malfeasance, and outright lies. Now they want to make it all fall into the Orwellian memory hole by a massive bribe, so lefty whites can pat themselves on the back and congratulate each other on how enlightened they are.

No dice, Bolshies. You feel guilty? Take it out of your own pockets. Clean up your own Jim Crow Dixiecrat mess.

If they did that instead of attacking honest men like Coleman Hughes, if they really are serious about finding the greatest enemy black people have ever faced in America, Dems will realize that to find the racist villain they seek they actually only have to do one thing…

Look in the mirror.

The Inbox- Observant comrade and reader Rome Zaffaroni noted this on the general subject of Dems and race, “When Biden was talking over the last couple of days about ‘reaching across the aisle,’ he wasn’t reaching anywhere. The two segregationist Senators he mentioned, Eastman and Talmadge, were both Dems. The bigots were in his own party.”

Another sharp friend and reader, Trevor Da Costa, opined, “Btw will African nations whence slaves were sold be required to pay reparations as well?”

A local reader and political pal asks, “If you have both slave ancestry and slave-owning ancestry, is your reparation pro-rated? Do you pay yourself?”

Very good points, gentlemen.
