Michael Avenatti was arrested on Wednesday for domestic violence charges that he says will be “fully exonerated.” He was formally charged and his bail was set to $50,000. Avenatti has since made bail.
TMZ reported that Avenatti had kicked a women out of the apartment. It was initially reported that the women involved in the incident was Avenatti’s estranged wife, but was later just described as a woman.
Avenatti has made a statement on the incident saying, “I have never struck a woman. I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career and I’m going to continue to be an advocate. I am not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing.”
