It is relatively unlikely that John Durham is a bloodmad purveyor of rapine and pillage. It also stands to reason he has not looted and desecrated any small English monasteries as of late, carrying away the monks to pagan servitude. But certain Dems will prefer that to the fate they may receive at the hands of this attorney in his new capacity as DOJ point man on illegal surveillance efforts directed against the 2016 Trump campaign.
I mean, he has the look.
Bald, blonde, intense eyes, and a mustache and beard that say, “My dragon ship is coming for thee Strzok, Comey, and Brennan. Woe be to you that taste my cold legal steel.” Can you imagine the hideous courtroom defense-splattering nightmares currently underway in the warped terrified psyches of Lynch, McCabe, and Clapper? They will quake and shiver in spasms of effete horror as this Bjorn the Berserker trains his rune-covered double-bladed war axe (which, of course, telepathically speaks to him in some indecipherable ancient Nordic tongue) in their general direction.
Durham has previously wetted his blade on organized crime, law enforcement corruption, CIA video mishaps, and the Boston FBI’s too close by far relationship with the local mob. “The Departed,” anyone?
He will also continue to serve as chief federal prosecutor in Connecticut. That is when he is not feasting on the entrails of his enemies at Thor’s table.
Attorney General Bill Barr himself is working with FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to get to the bottom of the skullduggery.
Along with John Huber out in Utah and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Durham has already for weeks been on the fast path to unearthing the reason the collusion hoax was perpetrated in the first place. That little ruse was to change the subject from Dem operations against the Trump campaign orchestrated by Hillary Clinton and perhaps with the detailed knowledge of the disgraced 44th POTUS.
Now, will Durham’s investigation quickly lead to the prosecution and keelhauling of Hillary and Barack? Probably not, so cool down your jets. Though it may be timed quite right for 2020. Think of the dark joy as various lesser players like Clapper and Brennan are indicted and face trial in the fall of a federal election year. Consider the drip, drip, drip of bad news the Dems will get all year long on this front. And best of all, we know they’ll take the bait and go rip-roaring bonkers when the shackles are prospectively on their ankles. This will ensure they continue to talk about only Trump, replaying their 2016 loss, instead of focusing on issues that would make them at least semi-competitive in 2020.
Yes, the gnashing of prog teeth and rending of Bolshie garments is about to begin in earnest. At its end, who knows? However, during its run a fun time will be had by the enlightened many.
