So, who is Bill Priestap…and why should you care? Because it’s Game over! for the Democrats. The first thing you need to realize is just how central E.W. “Bill” Priestap is to the entire “Russian Conspiracy” story concocted by the Democrats. The second thing you need to understand is why the absence of his name from the media circus is a cause for concern…for the Democrats.
In short, Priestap is the head of FBI counterintelligence operations. As FBI Assistant Director in charge of counterintelligence, Bill Priestap was immediate supervisor of Peter Strzok. Therein lies the lynchpin that can cause the entire house of cards to collapse.
For those of you who don’t know, Peter Strzok was the leader of the FBI’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election. The same Peter Strzok whose text messages clearly showed a bias against Donald Trump.
The investigation into then-presidential candidate Donald Trump was, in fact, a counterintelligence operation. That operation began in July 2016. As such, Bill Priestap would be directly in charge of that operation along with all other FBI counterintelligence operations. Meaning, Peter Strzok reported directly to Bill Preistap. This is important because, under current FBI structure and policy, Strzok would be reporting every detail of the investigation and would not be able to make any move without Priestap’s approval.
Strzok would have needed to go to Priestap to get authorization to engage with Christopher Steele over the “Russian Dossier.” Priestap would be the one to approve of the underlying investigative process used for both FISA applications (June 2016 and October 2016). Bill Priestap would also be the one to approve of arranging, paying, or even reimbursing Christopher Steele for the Russian Dossier.

Bottom Line: Without the direct involvement of Priestap, the entire counterintelligence operation just doesn’t happen. This is critically important when you consider James Comey’s testimony to Congress.
You see, congressional oversight protocol requires the FBI Director (James Comey) to inform the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (The Gang of 8) of any counterintelligence operations. At the time the operation began, the oversight committee consisted of the following members of Congress: Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Devin Nunes, Adam Schiff, Richard Burr and Dianne Feinstein.
Yet on March 20, 2017, during congressional testimony, FBI Director James Comey was specifically asked why he did not inform Congress about the counterintelligence operation that began in July 2016.
FBI Director Comey was completely unprepared for this line of questioning—he can clearly be seen “passing the buck” and setting up a fall guy. FBI Director Comey said he did not tell congressional oversight he was investigating presidential candidate Donald Trump because the Director of Counterintelligence suggested he not do so.
In other words, James Comey was told not to say anything by none other than Bill Preistap. What kind of influence or power does Bill Preistap have that he can “tell” his boss what to do?
Perhaps it is because everyone knew that this phony investigation was an “insurance policy” against the possible election of Donald Trump. Consider the very words of Peter Strzok to his then-mistress, FBI Attorney Lisa Page: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office that there’s no way he gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”
So everyone knew it was an “insurance policy” and as a result, James Comey was not expecting the line of questioning he was subjected to during the congressional hearing. So once confronted, a situation was created where Comey had to cover his own proverbial ass. So Comey tells Congress, under oath, that he didn’t say anything because Bill Priestap told him not to.
FBI Director James Comey ducked responsibility in March 2017 by blaming FBI Director of Counterintelligence Bill Priestap for not informing Congress of the operation that began in July 2016.
During that March hearing, anyone who watches closely can see FBI Director James Comey attempting to create his own escape from the consequences of the wiretapping and surveillance operation directed at eventually-elected President Donald Trump.
In essence, Bill Priestap was James Comey’s fall guy.
This was an immediate call to action and created a clear motivation for Bill Priestap to turn the tables and become the primary source of information for all the machinations behind trying to bring down Donald Trump. In fact, we believe that Bill has done exactly that. Everyone around Bill Priestap is now caught in a deadly web.
Consider this: directly above Priestap was James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and James Baker. James Comey was fired, Andrew McCabe was fired or quit (depending on who you talk to), and James Baker was fired. Yet, Bill quietly goes back to work.
Below him was Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Jim Rybicki, Trisha Beth Anderson and Mike Kortan. Peter Strzok was fired, Lisa Page was reassigned, Jim Rybicki was replaced, Trish Beth Anderson suddenly resigned, and Mike Kortan suddenly retired.
Parallel to Priestap, his peer John P. Carlin resigned, Sally Yates was fired, Mary McCord quit, Bruce Ohr was busted (twice), and Dave Laufman resigned. All of them caught in the investigative net. Only Bill Priestap remains, quietly invisible—still in position.
The reasons for this are obvious, and it spells disaster for the Democrats.
Bill Priestap is working with investigators and spilling the beans. Devin Nunes (now chairman of the House Intelligence Committee) interviewed Bill Priestap and Jim Rybicki prior to putting forth his memo. Rybicki quit. Bill went back to work. In fact, as close as we can tell, Bill is the only person to remain in his original position within the FBI—he continues to lead counterintelligence operations.
Mark my words: Bill is cooperating with investigators—while the Democrats are focusing on winning seats in the 2018 elections, the Republicans will be focusing on winning indictments and affecting arrests.
Game over!
