I get it. When someone calls you out on a “no-balls” challenge, you have to prove them wrong. Those of us in the military have done many of them. Regarding a certain Democratic Massachusetts senator and Presidential aspirant, President Donald Trump called you out and you played the game—and now you lost.
I won't sit quietly for @realDonaldTrump's racism, so I took a test. But DNA & family history has nothing to do with tribal affiliation or citizenship, which is determined only – only – by Tribal Nations. I respect the distinction, & don't list myself as Native in the Senate.

Warren’s DNA test is the weakest attempt to legitimize claims to Native heritage with .09 percent. Let that sink in—she has less than 1 percent Native American DNA. That doesn’t include the 99 percent of her being unequivocally European. As white as white can be.
Even the Cherokee Nation broke her claims with the following statement: “A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage,” said Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin, Jr.
Opinion authors from all over the political spectrum are calling her out for playing the minority card only when it suits her agenda. Simon Moya-Smith wrote in an opinion piece for CNN that the Indian Country Today Media Network repeatedly asked Warren for an interview to talk about her claims and “not once did she accept [their] numerous invitations for comment or explanation regarding her alleged ancestry. She simply ignored [them].” It’s not enough to play a minority card when it’s convenient, but “you must also be there for your people, be a part of the community, and not only when it’s convenient or when you want something — like the presidency.”
But, what blows my mind, is that there are actual people on the left defending her use of cultural appropriation. It wasn’t that long ago that the leftists would destroy your life if you even put on a Chinese dress, dressed like Moana, or even Pocahontas. Yet, no one is losing their collective minds over this? Gotcha.
Warren claims to be Native American with the most ridiculous and not to mention the racist idea of the One Drop Rule—you know, the one from Jim Crow laws that determined if you’re African-American. Warren applies it to herself and says it’s a win!
No, Senator Warren. It’s not a win. If anything, you’ve proven, yet again, the left has a selective outrage problem that will not be fixed in the near future.
If you’re going to play identity politics, you have to at least need more than 1 percent of the DNA from the group you’re claiming to be a part of in the first place.
