Holy Hypocrite

Two days ago, the old fraud who sadly sits on the throne of St. Peter opened up his yap again to take a veiled swipe at the POTUS over “walls.” In fact, what the hell is this upgraded cardinal doing talking about international security issues in the first place?

Have any of you guys been to Vatican City? I have twice, some years ago. Unless they have done some serious remodeling, now the whole joint is surrounded by walls. Big walls, thick walls. Walls so high you couldn’t toss a Swiss Guard over one without giving yourself a hernia.

And can you visit? Sure, after a thorough security check at the gate. Move there solely by desire and get a pass? Uhhhhh, no.

So for this Liberation theology phony to go on about walls is rich. He also babbled that developed countries (guess who?) should aid in eliminating the root causes of immigration such as poverty, war, and political instability. Ah, the “root causes” argument again, so loved by Bolshies from time immemorial. It brings to mind George Will’s line, when he was sentient, that if he heard noises downstairs in his home at 3 a.m., he wasn’t going to call the police and ask them to come over and address “the root causes.”

Feckless Francis seems to overlook that the cause of so much migration around the world, like in Venezuela today, is the very policy he regularly champions. Namely, socialism.

By the way, these statements were delivered after defending his decision to reject the resignation of a French Cardinal who was convicted (yes, convicted) of covering up for a predator priest under his jurisdiction. The perv prelate confessed to abusing Boy Scouts in the 1970s and 1980s. Still not enough to incur the ire of Pope Preposterous. That anger is reserved for a democratically elected head of state who dares to defy his pieties.

As a Catholic myself, not only am I embarrassed by this clown in a cassock, but the snickering from the tomb of Martin Luther is getting rather annoying.

Next time, can we just pick another Italian? Sure, they can get a tad…ahem…cough…fun-loving. But the worst of the Borgias is better than a day more of this guy.
