Though tensions with North Korea never seem to completely dissipate, they have elevated to new levels in the past year and Kim Jong-un continues to grow bolder in both his statements and his actions. As such, with all the recent headlines and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s recent statement that all options are on the table for North Korea, it is important for the populous to understand the depravity of the North Korean regime.
Sure, it’s popular in America’s newly divided state to attack President Donald Trump and compare him to a dictator or authoritarian leader, but as we have often stated – things aren’t so bad here in the US. After all, where else can you so freely verbally attack and threaten a sitting president and get away with it? Certainly not in North Korea where making an international phone call can earn you a swift execution.
It is imperative that we all understand how fortunate we are to live in such a free country and we think the below video, where Yeonmi Park, who escaped North Korea, describes life under Kim Jong-un will demonstrate just how good you have it.
