Model Blames Trump for Her Mental Illness, Says He Should Pay Her Medical Bills

Absurdity continues to reach new heights in the seemingly alternate reality that is inhabited by celebrities.

In yet another celebrity anti-Trump tirade, Chrissy Teigen took to her Twitter to blast President Donald Trump. According to the model—who’s married to musician John Legend—she’s so triggered by the Trump administration, she requires a higher dose of medication to treat her mental illness. In rambling posts made on Twitter, Teigen says, “So f***ing tired of this manically insane, incompetent president and this dumpster fire administration I’m gonna have to go on another med.”

I’m no social justice warrior, but I find it distasteful to comment on someone else’s mental health by calling someone “insane.” As someone who suffers from mental illness, Teigen should know better than to use it as an insult toward another person. I guess some things aren’t sacred or kept private anymore. It seems like mental illness has become trendy lately, and many people have begun using it as a punchline. Chrissy Teigen enjoys a privileged life and can not only afford health insurance, but should contemplate purchasing a new personality.

In attempts to insult President Trump, she has made light of mental illness in order to trend on social media. “Today I had a tooth shaved down because crippling anxiety makes me grind and rock my teeth on one side. I blame Trump,” Teigen went on. “I also had Botox in my jaw muscle to relieve tension from constantly clinching. I was not like this before. Pay my bill, POS POTUS.” Clearly, this appears to be some kind of mental breakdown. Demanding that the president of the United States pay her medical bill is clearly a political statement.

In the face of challenges to Obamacare, many celebrities have spoken about the subject and expressed opinions. However, this counterproductive ranting has to stop. The Hollywood elite can slam the president from their mansions via their latest fancy electronic device while the rest of America looks for solutions. If these celebrities are so worried about healthcare and how blue collar bills are going to be paid, why isn’t there more advocacy on their part?

The rich and famous don’t want to be involved in a conversation that doesn’t benefit them. I had to Google Chrissy Teigen to research any activism or charities she may be involved with and came across the usual “charity” galas celebrities attend wearing clothing that could feed an impoverished family for longer than a month. I also found her profanity-laced Twitter page full of boring commentary and dry jokes. It’s obvious that she enjoys riding the coattails of her husband’s success.

When these celebrities can start contributing to issues productively, I’ll give them two thumbs up. Until then, I would suggest that Chrissy Teigen and the likes cry America a river from their cushy surroundings because they have no idea what working class people deal with. Everyone knows liberals are the majority in Hollywood and social media, so I guess it makes sense to put on a persona for attention and acceptance. Poor form, Chrissy.
