Pelosi and Schumer Zero in on 2020 Strategy

By: - May 1, 2019

As the official heads of the Democratic Party, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will be in general charge of the party until about this time next year. Then a nominee will crawl out of the primary ooze and make their power felt amongst the various malcontents, authoritarian socialists, and Frankfurt School Marxists who comprise the majority of the disloyal opposition.

As such, the duo will have a lot of say in what the tactics and strategy are going into the contest. Given the economy may still be robust and the much vaunted congressional hearings will likely be an ineffectual yawnfest, where do they go for a message?

Barring a war or another headline-grabbing event, if current trends continue Trump is on his way to a win. So Pelosi and Schumer are faced with two sad options. One, just give the thing to Bernie, let him get his ass kicked, and be done with him. Or retreat into fantasy and let the shrill PC warriors have their way and emphasize identitarian issues only important to the margins of society. There is a third option. Nominating a relatively traditional candidate like Biden, giving the second slot to the winsome Tulsi Gabbard (who the press would go wild over and the GOP would be hard-pressed to portray as a complete loon), and running towards the middle where victory resides. Probably still lose, but they would set Gabbard up strong for 2024.

But Joe is too white, old, garbled, male, and moderate and Tulsi is not Bolshie enough. Thus, they will go with door number two and go full-bore SJW. Though, keep your eye on Gabbard. She could surprise.

Even though pros and honchos will warn against steering loony left, the PC base who fights for issues not remotely important to average Americans has a stranglehold on the party and will permit nothing else. Pelosi and Schumer know this is a dumb move but have no choice. If they tried to inject pragmatism into the message they’d be ideologically lynched by their own counterfeit Robespieres. This is evidenced by a majority of the declared candidates now playing a game where one goes far left and another sees them and then raises by going farther towards the distant frontiers of sanity.

No one gets around to my left, seems to be the battle cry. That the electorate is nowhere near that ground does not phase them, engorged as they are by their own words and echo chambers in the press and party. Just for the primaries, you say. Any one of them will run towards the center after they get the nod. And risk a revolt from Dem Trots and Tankies who run the party base? Not on your life.

Plus, they actually believe that stuff.

So next fall expect the president to be talking about the economy, national security, and law and order. Expect the Dems to be talking about reparations for mollusks that lost out in the evolutionary cycle and the abolishment of all municipal police forces, to be replaced by citizen committees of “social safety monitors” who would report directly to the DNC.

An exaggeration?

Ask me again next October.

    • 'The great replacement'? Hell yes
I recently gave a speech about open borders, why it's happening, who benefits and what's behind it – "the great replacement." My speech was delivered at a conservative conference put on by and attended by sheriffs from across the USA. My speech brought down the house and ended with a standing ovation. That's what happens… […]
    • Who is shaking the jar ... and killing America?
The seventh book of C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" is titled "The Last Battle" and depicts the end of the magical realm presided over by Aslan. As the remnant witnesses the destruction of their beloved land, one of the characters (Lord Digory) – who had witnessed the birth of Narnia – makes the remark:… […]
    • Biden campaigns on killing babies
"Abortion," "women's reproductive health care," "freedom of choice," "my body my choice," "it's only a fetus" – all these nice little terms and sayings in reality represent the surreal, unnatural, against nature "right" for a mother to have her baby killed in her womb. Even the term "fetus" is a Latin work for "offspring," which… […]
    • Is climate change spurring child labor? No, but EV batteries are
By Linnea Lueken Here we go again. Among the most annoying trends in media is one where a journalist will take any random topic, be it "trans sex workers" and their struggles in Indonesia, predatory loan practices, human trafficking – pick your poison, and connect it to climate change. My theory when it comes to… […]
    • Presidential contest turns into 'Saul vs. David'
He's called the "Ragin' Cajun" for a reason. Watching Democratic strategist James Carville's recent expletive-filled rant, blasting "You little f–-ing 26-year-olds!" in response to recent polling showing Trump's healthy rise in support from young voters, I thought of King Saul's reaction to the future King David's mounting popularity, "an ugly mood" consuming Saul so that… […]
    • Confessions of a 'hate criminal'
The remnant of Western civilization, which still values freedom of speech and other classical ethics and virtues, is aghast at Canada's Stalinesque "online harms bill," which would punish so-called "hate speech" with penalties up to life imprisonment, offers both cash incentives and legal anonymity for "whistleblowers" and would retroactively cover speech that occurred even decades… […]
    • It's simple: Let the Bill of Rights rule
Years ago, a committee of lawyers from the Los Angeles County Bar Association gathered to discuss the issue of a "fair trial." Invited to the discussion were various leaders of the newspaper industry in Los Angeles County. The lawyers were in search of support of their idea to regulate the reporting on criminal defendants. The… […]
    • The deadly cost of lesbianism and feminism
According to a major study by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute, "bisexual women die, on average, nearly 40 percent younger than heterosexual women, while lesbian women die 20 percent sooner." These are tragic numbers, numbers that should concern all of us, regardless of our attitudes towards lesbianism and bisexuality. If you care about people,… […]

    • Israel: Christians' past, present and future
The name Jerusalem means "city of peace" or "habitation of peace." Yet ironically, more wars have been fought at the gates of Jerusalem than that of any other city on the face of the earth. For Christians, Jerusalem and Israel are part of our past, present and future. We're connected to Israel. And we're connected… […]
