On Saturday, Pope Francis spoke out against those who would pretend that abortion is healthcare by pointing out that parents “murder children” with birth defects to “have an easy life.” He compared this practice to the Nazis and their eugenics programs. During an address to the members of a confederation of Italian family associations, Pope Francis addressed the modern practice of conducting abortions after prenatal tests discover possible birth defects; the head of the Catholic Church called it the equivalent of Nazi attempts to create a so-called “pure race” by eliminating those identified as the “weakest.”
“I say it with pain. Last century, the whole world was scandalized by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves,” said Pope Francis. The Pope told his audience that all children deserved to be loved regardless of their health. “Children should be accepted as they come, as God sends them, as God allows, even if at times they are sick.”
The comments come after multiple “victories” for the global abortion industry, with Ireland recently legalizing the slaughter of the unborn on demand. Pope Francis’ own homeland of Argentina may soon see abortion made both legal and provided free of charge. Europe has claimed to have almost completely eliminated Down syndrome through abortion. Much like Europe’s attempts at this in the early- to mid-20th century, this claim falls just as flat as the original Nazi claims. Down syndrome is not passed down through DNA but is rather a spontaneous genetic occurrence. While they claim to have “cured” Europe, the reality is that much like their fascist godfathers, this final solution for those born with Down syndrome requires an ongoing and never ending war on the unborn.
In unusually blunt language, pope likens abortion to Nazi eugenics practiced 'with white gloves,' and says the only real families are based on marriage between a man and a woman. (Corrects quote from earlier tweet)https://t.co/4LusdXn1mD pic.twitter.com/EW37auUWnp

While many in the media have often tried in the past to spin the Pope’s words in order to falsely paint the picture of a Pontiff open to the identity politics of the so-called left, the Holy Father was also quite clear in the same address to condemn those who would call same-sex couples a family.
“Today, it is hard to say this, we speak of ‘diversified’ families: different types of families. It is true that the word ‘family’ is an analogical word, because we speak of the ‘family’ of stars, ‘family’ of trees, ‘family’ of animals…it is an analogical word. But the human family in the image of God, man and woman, is the only one. It is the only one. A man and woman can be non-believers: but if they love each other and unite in marriage, they are in the image of God even if they don’t believe,” Pope Francis explained.
Pope Francis went on to condemn a “throwaway culture” that further marginalizes and attacks women by using them and forgetting them; the Pope went on to say that this is a leading cause of human trafficking of women and young girls into the sex work industry. The Bishop of Rome asked his audience: “How many of you pray for these women who are thrown away, for these women who are sued, for these girls who have to sell their own dignity to have a job?”
