The Criminal Justice System Is Being Destroyed From Within By The Left

By: - October 28, 2020

After almost 150 days of “peaceful protests” and riots across America, a lot of people are wondering why the police haven’t regained control of the streets in some cities.

While there are many reasons for this, I want to focus on just one.  Just the mere mention of this man’s name causes the mainstream media to instantly scream “conspiracy” and push to censor it.  The man? George Soros.

George Soros is a billionaire investor and leftist who is funding campaigns for progressive District Attorneys all over the country.  As of December 2019, Soros had already contributed $17 million dollars to progressive prosecutor candidates.  2020 is no different.

What does he get for his money? Left leaning prosecutors are just what the doctor ordered for those trying to fix what they believe is the “systemic racism” of the criminal justice system. Some of their best ideas? Ending cash bail, limiting powers of the police, ensuring sanctuary cities remain, defunding the police, ending legal protections for officers, and more.

Let’s take a look at some of George Soros’ funded prosecutors:

Kim Ogg, Harris County, Texas (Houston)

In 2016 Ogg received $1.4 million in ad money from Soros. One of Ogg’s favorite activities is the deferred adjudication program.  Basically, when you are charged with a crime and receive deferral, you plead guilty and walk free from the courtroom.  As long as they don’t re-offend, the suspect’s criminal history will not show a conviction.

Here’s Ogg’s deferred adjudication record as of December 2019:

– 1,600 aggravated assault.

– 1,100 aggravated robbery and robbery.

– 600 possession of child pornography/indecency with a child/online solicitation of a minor.

– 300 sexual assault.

– 1,750 felony DWI offenses.

– 300 felon in possession of a firearm.

Mike Schmidt, Multnomah County District Attorney (Portland)

Schmidt has received $230,000 in Soros donations. Are you wondering why there has been rioting in the City of Portland for over 150 days? Mike Schmidt has refused to prosecute the majority of arrests made in the riots. He said he would not prosecute “interfering with a peace officer, disorderly conduct in the second degree, criminal trespass in the first or second degree, escape in the third degree, and harassment and riot when it isn’t accompanied by a charge separate from this list.”

This is how Antifa has been able to remain out of custody and in the streets causing damage and injury to the community.

Kim Gardner, Circuit Attorney for the City of St. Louis, Missouri

Gardner has received $307,000 in Soros backing. After the recent riots in St. Louis, she dismissed all charges against 36 people arrested for violent charges.  You may remember the McCloskey’s, who protected their private property from BLM protestors threatening them earlier this year. Gardner is the one who has charged them for brandishing a firearm.

Kim Foxx, State’s Attorney for Cook County (Chicago)

Foxx has received $817,000 in Soros funding.  She has refused to charge those arrested for rioting offenses such as curfew and resisting arrest. Foxx is the most famous for her shameful handling of  Jussie Smollett’s fake hate crime hoax, where he accused Trump supporters of trying to lynch him. Once the truth came out and it was confirmed as a hoax, Foxx refused to prosecute Smollett. A judge had to remove Foxx from the case and appoint a special prosecutor.

Larry Krasner, Philadelphia District Attorney

Krasner has received $1.7 million in Soros backing.  After refusing to prosecute after the rioting in the summer, Krasner said “Prosecution alone will achieve nothing close to justice—not when power imbalances and lack of accountability make it possible for government actors including police or prosecutors to regularly take life or liberty unjustly and face no criminal or career penalty.”

Krasner has filed charges on at least 75 police officers since taking office.

Chesa Boudin, San Francisco District Attorney

Boudin has received $620,000 from Soros donations.  To get an understanding of how this prosecutor thinks, you just need to listen to what he says. “The criminal justice system isn’t just massive and brutal, it’s also racist,” said Boudin. His office will not prosecute “quality-of-life crimes, such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc.”

Boudin, whose parents are jailed members of the Weather Underground who took part in a robbery which killed a guard and two police officers, is a Marxist who has even worked directly for Hugo Chávez in Venezuela as a translator.

Boudin refuses to file charges on arrests made by police during “pretext” traffic stops. Meaning, the officer stopped the vehicle for something like a traffic violation but during the investigation, found a more serious offense such as a gun or drugs.  Boudin believes these tactics are part of the “systemic racism” of policing.  It’s more like the bread and butter of policing.

Boudin is also a strong supporter of abolishing cash bail.

When prosecutors don’t prosecute, the rule of law is dead.

I wish I could tell you these were the only prosecutors George Soros has helped get in office, but there are many more.

The greatest threat to not only our criminal justice system, but to the general safety of the American citizen, is having prosecutors who don’t have the people’s interest at heart. The people expect when a criminal is lawfully arrested that they will next be competently prosecuted for their crimes.  This is the only way we stay safe.

Without consequence of actions, criminals become more emboldened and commit even more crimes.  The police will begin pulling back and not pushing as hard when they know nothing happens to those arrested.  The last thing you want is a police force that is completely reactive to crime rather than looking to be proactive.

We must vote for competent prosecutors who share the goal of law and order.
