The Last Cossack

By: - December 26, 2020

For hundreds of years, a somewhat tribal ethnic group of people lived in the region that is the Ukrainian steppes.  These people were under constant threat and attack from others who came from outside their region.  The land of the Ukrainian steppes is very fertile, many others had long sought to take control and possession of it and the people who lived upon it.  Over the years, a much greater threat arose to the people of the Ukrainian steppes.  Known as Cossacks, for these people by definition were the most determinedly free.  Cossacks developed a democratic society that rejected the entire idea of nobility and feudalism.  They became an existential threat to the European social order.

To protect their way of life with its freedom, liberty, and democratic principles they had to become militaristic.  Being a people bonded with horses, they became the most effective feared calvary in the history of the world.

“Cossacks are the best light troops among all that exist.  If I had them in my army, I would go through all the world with them.” – Napoleon Bonaparte

You are wondering why I am discussing this subject.  I am an ethnic Cossack.  My family had to leave Ukraine as a result of the Bolsheviks (Communists).  Cossacks had to be eliminated in order for the leaders of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to advance their agenda.  They could not tolerate any person, let alone a group of free-thinking people to remain.  My family left Ukraine, traveling a round about journey, eventually arriving in the United States of America with its promise of freedom and liberty.  That was until the present day.

I read a news article explaining an interview with Bill Gates.  It explained that Gates felt the United States had fumbled its response to coronavirus because, “we believe in freedom.”  “We optimize for individual rights.”  He went on to say, “I don’t think a change in administrations will get people to wear masks…” and “It’s hard to see how we build that trust network and improved behavior.  It’ll mostly be incremental.”

Perhaps such words mean little to you, but they send shock waves down my spine.  Such words are almost as old as time.  It is not about a virus; it is about improving your behavior to match that of “moral” society that is of the liking of Bill and Melinda Gates.  My people have heard it so many times and know they are the same words that come from all oppressors.  They always come in the name of safety and protection for the masses.  He is correct, “It’ll mostly be incremental.” You have seen it, first the masks were a suggestion, then they were a request, on to a “mandate”, and now not wearing one is a crime.  The lockdowns are the same.  All the while, little pieces of your liberty and freedom are being taken.  Actually, you are giving them away.  It will not stop there, soon perhaps next year, there will be some other dangerous threat where you will be asked to subjugate yourself a little more.  It will be easy for you, because you are doing it for the greater good and have already capitulated under COVID-19.  It will not matter if you surrender a bit more.  The incremental capitulation just keeps on building until one day you realize you have given up all that you once held in such high regard.  Think nothing of it, words such as freedom and liberty were only ideals our grandparents held in high regard, they are so passe in this day and age.

I am not wearing a mask, or locking down, or socially distancing from anyone who agrees with me.  If you do not like it, stay away from me.  If I find that I am alone and the only person holding true to their core beliefs, I will hold my head high in pride, for I will know that I am the last Cossack, he who is what remains of a people who understood what it was to live life freely.

    • MSNBC: 1 man's 'election denier' is another man's TV host
MSNBC, the "news" outfit on which the Rev. Al Sharpton has a show, briefly hired former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, at $300,000 per year, to serve as an on-air pundit. Why did the rabidly anti-Trump, anti-Republican network make her the offer? MSNBC likely did so because 2024 is an election year; McDaniel was… […]
    • Dems' weakest case against Trump is first to go to trial
Donald Trump was first indicted nearly a year ago, on April 4, 2023, when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced charges against the former president over a nondisclosure agreement Trump used to buy the silence of porn actress Stormy Daniels, with whom he had apparently had a brief sexual encounter. Bragg, an elected Democrat, won… […]
    • White House adds hair-sniffing contest to Easter Egg Roll!
It's about time again for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. What the resurrection of Jesus has to do with eggs, chocolate candy, jelly beans or peeps is beyond me. Jesus did not arise from the dead and walk through the walls of the tomb holding an Easter basket and looking for eggs laid… […]
    • Say it, media: DEMOCRATS are prosecuting Trump
On March 25, "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart uncorked a typical not-so-funny sermon about how Donald Trump overvaluing real estate properties was not a "victimless crime." Trump has been found liable for fraud despite no banker or financier ever claiming Trump victimized them. Then the New York Post reported talk-show host Tim Pool tweeted that… […]

    • The shocking beliefs of America's powerful 'elites'
It is becoming increasingly clear that some of America's most serious problems can be traced back to our colleges and universities – or at least the ones educating the country's most powerful people. The Vietnam War era aside, it has traditionally been uncommon for events at universities to make national headlines. Absent something extraordinary, like… […]
    • Who is really behind Moscow terror attack?
Was the Islamic State (ISIS) behind the Crocus City Hall terror attack in Moscow that killed 139 and wounded 182 on March 22, 2024, or not? The Islamic State did claim the attack, and the Western mainstream is agreed that the terror group was, indeed, behind it. On March 25, White House press secretary Karine… […]
    • Only Democrats get to lie on NBC News
Ronna McDaniel, formerly chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, was recently hired and subsequently fired by NBC News when the "talent," unable to countenance even moderate dissent, revolted on air. The entire kerfuffle is unsurprising considering the state of modern "media." But one of the funniest moments of the McDaniel blowup came when host and… […]
    • Accept $40,000 loan offer from 'FIL'?
Dear Dave, My wife and I owe about $40,000 on our mortgage. My father-in-law, who is a very nice and generous man, said he wants to pay off the house for us, then let us pay him back over time. We've borrowed much smaller amounts of money from him in the past, and we were… […]
