Webster’s Dictionary defines the word integrity: “Conduct that conforms to an accepted standard of right and wrong. For example, someone who takes full responsibility for their actions demonstrates that they are a person of integrity.”
The important part of that definition for those wanting to parse it is “conforms to an accepted standard of right and wrong.” Those words become important today because when we look at right and wrong, many of us get a different distinction. I sometimes believe I have gone to sleep and woke up in an alternate universe.
The Bizarro World Comes to Life
In my old comic book days growing up, I read of an alternate Superman universe called the BIZARRO world. A world where what was left was right, and what was normal was abnormal. Nothing in the Bizarro world made sense to anyone in the normal world. Even the Bizarro Marilyn Monroe was a hideous creature. But luckily for those of us in the real world, we are able to tell the difference.
Unfortunately, at the moment, I am trying to figure out when I woke up in the Bizarro world because nothing around me makes any sense. I have found that my definition of integrity has not changed; the definition around me has. Quite possibly because the definition of right/wrong has changed around me as well.
Creating a New World of Non-Binary Choice
We live in a world of doublespeak. Today, lawyers produce the most convoluted answers to simple binary (yes/no) questions. They are taught to never actually answer a binary question. The intention for all of this comes from those wishing to gain and hold power. They seek to blur reality and then create alternate thoughts creating an alternative reality. The goal of some is to tear down the social fabric of our society. In this case, to make people question right vs wrong.
However, from my 40 years of background in technology, I cannot think this way. I was taught everything is binary. Computers created our current world of technology, reality in technology is based on binary logic (yes/no or 0/1). To me, this is the only logical way to think. But not in the Bizarro world.
Some might say it reached social consciousness when Bill Clinton redefined simple words during his 1998 Grand Jury deposition. During the deposition, he said, “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” That statement shattered reality in a single moment.
The Bizarro World Redefines Yes/No
The Bizarro world redefines yes/no, right and wrong. A binary answer in that context is impossible. What was considered normal now requires explanation and re-definition. No longer is anything an affirmative yes or no answer. To succeed in redefining the world, TRUTH MUST BE BLURRED. Ordinary people must be taught that their belief in right/wrong is no longer valid. Right/Wrong can no longer apply. Get used to the new world! In this new world, simple questions which should require a binary yes/no answer, do not exist.
Questions a few years ago that would have been difficult to blur are now in flux. Questions such as: are you a man or a woman; is it acceptable to call for the death of a race of people; is it acceptable to steal; can you be declared guilty of a crime without a trial? All of these have been redefined in the alternate reality.
The new concept is: do not believe your eyes or what is around you. Media and social media will tell you what is now the truth. There are no longer simple yes/no answers. We now live in a non-binary world. Your prior “illusion” of right and wrong – That is no longer valid. It is now redefined in social media. Keep in mind that the redefinition will change depending on where you sit in the political spectrum on any given day. That is the point. Once we obliterate the natural science behind right and wrong, everything will be in question.
When did this change?
When did right and wrong change? When did hatred blur the obvious? When did we change the definition of nature? For example, the simple distinction between a man and a woman? Since the beginning of time, nature has provided us with only a binary response. However, today the new reality teaches us binary is wrong – there is no truth. As bizarre as it sounds to those having gender reveal parties. Truth DEPENDS on what you think you are. Not how you were born or what body parts you were born with. Reality is how you feel in the moment. Welcome to the non-binary world.
Again, it is my opinion that this comes from the loss of integrity in our lives.
Swimmer Riley Gaines has the Audacity to Question the Redefinition of a Women
Swimmer Riley Gaines has won world championships in swimming. She is the definitive example of success in women’s sports. Riley has taken to social media, upset with the encroachment of Transgenders in women’s sports. The Biden administration is altering the definition requiring transgender inclusion in college sports to receive funding. Ms. Gaines brought the issue to the forefront through social media. Her outspokenness has brought her unwanted attention and criticism from those in power. She was kidnapped by trans activists last year. Riley does not mind losing fairly to another biological woman. But Lia Thompson, who recently tied with Riley Gaines in a swimming event, is not a biological woman. Lia was born a man and has a penis. Yet Lia associates herself as a woman, despite her physical attributes. Lia changes in the women’s locker room among biological women. In today’s world, Lia’s right to be declared a woman, though physically a male, has become more important than Riley’s rights and her privacy…
Riley has no problem competing fairly against other women. Riley has competed successfully with integrity with other women since she started in sports. Riley is accomplished and has the medals to prove it. Riley believes that if she loses, it should be a fair competition. Her loss should be against other competitive women.
She also does not have an issue with privacy among other women in the locker room. This is an assumed privacy issue. It is the simple concept of right/wrong in our society. However, recently the rulers have changed. Riley must compete with men who have now defined themselves as women. Hormone blockers or not, these are males who have grown up and have physical advantages from their birth that women do not. Riley also does not feel comfortable with Lia Thomas walking naked in the women’s locker room. This is not about the preference of identity. It is about the right to fairness in competition and a woman’s right to privacy; in our society, we are taught that we can object to sharing a locker room with a biological male. Separate locker rooms were created to prevent any issues. Is there no integrity in Riley’s assumptions? Lia was born a man, and Riley was born a woman. After twenty years, nothing will change that fact, despite how they feel. Why does Lia not accept Riley and other women’s objections?
Why Have the Rules Changed?
Why have the rules of competition changed? When did Riley lose her right to privacy? When did societal norms change? Why should women not be offended when they lose to a biological male competing in their sport against them? Today, this can be the difference between a deserved and earned scholarship taken by a biological man. The right to fairness in education. When did women lose the right to object to a male’s presence in a women’s locker room? Why are we celebrating one group’s rights over another? Everyone has the right to dress or to be or be called who they want. That issue is not under debate. However, rights should not be exercised for one at the expense of others. That is the part of integrity missing in this scenario.
Recently, however, not only does Riley not have the right to fair competition, but she also lost her right to her personal privacy. Riley lost her rights because one day, Lia Thomas denied his biological manhood and defined himself as a woman. As a result, he now gets to change in the women’s locker room.
The Alternate Reality Takes Hold
This moment in time is creating an alternate reality where the definition of a woman in today’s world is no longer binary. We are told it is no longer based on nature. A woman today is based not on your physical sex but on your personal beliefs. As a result, they must be categorized as a woman. Today, in the new Bizarro world of human rights, a biological woman can no longer be celebrated individually based on their sex. In the Bizarro world, they must share the stage and accomplishments with men, and be happy about it.
Wait a moment… Didn’t we spend most of the last century creating a safe space for women to compete and excel? Didn’t we find ways to obliterate barriers based on a woman’s physical attributes? Didn’t we carve out and finally recognize women’s capabilities in sports and in life?
In Riley Gaines’ case, she may have been tied for her win, but her accomplishment on that day was considered secondary. She was told she “could” share the stage, but this was Lia’s win despite tying for 5th place. Riley’s accomplishment was pushed aside in deference to Lia’s accomplishment.
Riley’s embarrassment was that she must not just share her win, but she was pushed to a secondary level. Her win was not as important as Lia’s. Women must share the stage and be pushed aside by the accomplishment of inferior men who cannot compete with other men in their sport. On top of that Riley has to place her personal privacy on hold, and the indignity of having a male in the female locker room, because Lia does not want to be a male.
Riley Gaines Testifies Before Congress
Riley was brought before Congress to testify before the American people about her vocal position. She questioned why women must compete against biological males that are transgendered. She believes this is not fair and sincerely believes all of this is wrong. (Riley doesn’t want to live in the Bizarro world) Ms. Gaines believes the presence of men in women’s sports hurts all of women’s sports. She also has outlined what she feels about Lia Thomas’ presence in the locker room as she dresses. Lastly, she makes it clear what this new reality means to other women and young girls in her sport.
Democrat congresswoman Summer Lee, (Rep from PA), wants Riley to accept the new world order. In her opening statement in the congressional hearing, Ms. Lee accused Riley Gaines specifically as “transphobic. “ Why? Because Riley questions the new definition of reality created by the Democrat Party. In her opening statement, Ms. Lee continued to disparage a proven leader and role model in her sport. Riley has no right to even question this new definition. She continued to denigrate Riley, a successful female athlete/swimmer. She called Riley wrong and bigoted for not accepting the definition of this new reality. Deriding Ms. Gaines for believing in what has been the reality for millennia, as well as her definition of right and wrong. Riley’s belief, as well as many others like myself, is no longer acceptable. Ms. Lee accused all of us of being sick with fear of transgender people- the definition of transphobic.
Ms. Gaines accepted none of that. Unafraid, she responded brilliantly with a pejorative similar to the label given to her by Rep Lee.
“If my testimony makes me transphobic, then I believe your opening monologue makes you a misogynist.”
As a result, Ms. Lee was appalled. She did not appreciate or expect Ms. Gaines’ response, or that she fought back against this new definition. Ms. Lee has been supporting this belief for months, and with the help of President Biden, believes this is the new reality we should all succumb to. The congresswoman was beside herself, and could not accept Ms. Gaines’ honest assessment. Ms. Lee was upset that she was also hit with an offensive label in response to her pejorative statement against Riley.
Ms. Lee felt her definition of reality should not be questioned. She is, of course, a member of Congress. Therefore, Riley’s pejorative response to Ms. Lee’s was considered a direct insult, and should be considered offensive since her obvious Bizarro world opinion was now the new reality! Rep Lee was so offended that her new world belief was challenged that she asked that Riley’s’ response be stricken from the record, assuming again that her opinion of an alternate reality superseded Riley’s opinions and integrity.
The New Alternate Reality of Mob Speak
Today, Ms. Lee and other Democrats believe that by just saying that something is correct, they are allowed to create an alternate reality. Riley obliterated Ms. Lee’s reality and the presumption that everyone else should fall in line. Riley’s rights and belief of right and wrong were unimportant to this new view and obviously incorrect. It must be ignored. It is supported, of course, by the mob of social media, even if the opinion is so outlandish that it defies human nature. In the new Bizarro world the definition of a man and a woman has now been changed. The world must accept it. The majority has spoken.
The result: the new reality supersedes the question, why should Riley Gaines be forced to compete against people who are not biologically the same?
Is that integrity in sports? Is it fair? Is that what our society has devolved into? What has changed in human physiology to support this? In reality, transgenders have a distinct physical advantage, biologically. Yet that reality is ignored.
Just this week, USA Women’s Boxing has approved that transitioned biological men can now compete with women.
This is not just wrong, it is outright dangerous to women’s health.
Blurring the Lines of Right and Wrong
When society begins to blur the lines of right and wrong, they are also obligated at the same time to redefine that reality. With social media behind them, they will work diligently to make others believe that truth is, in fact, wrong. It creates an alternate reality. In this reality, those who believe in the truth are offensive. They are the problem. They must be dealt with. Those who believe the actual definition of right and wrong have become the problem. We are the enemy.
Those participating in this charade begin disparaging normality for their belief in an alternate reality. As in the case of Riley Gaines, in many cases shaming her for even having such “bigoted” responses.
When you live in the Bizarro world, who questions this alternate reality?
The Result of The Bizarro World Thought
Ordinary people must be disparaged because their answers fall against this new reality. The Bizarro world must constantly redefine reality to exist. Right and wrong fit into the normal binary response. It is not tolerated and must be erased. As a result, transgender groups responded to Ms. Gaines’s testimony with overwhelming force. Declaring Ms. Gaines as a “petulant child.” How dare Riley Gaines question the authority of a congresswoman!
As if Ms. Gaines should be admonished for believing something as inconvenient as nature defines truth. People should have no right to question the new authority foisted upon them. They must believe the new reality, as the definition of the sex of a person is someone who is non-binary.
The Power Struggle at the Base of This
Changing the definition of men/women is a power struggle. The struggle is designed to take power away from women, who have spent decades (some would say millennia) for the right to compete with men and also to have their own sports funded. Title IX was created for women to have that right. However, transgender are not women. Biological men are physically different, they evolve and age differently, and they have distinct physical advantages over women. This is not conjecture, it is fact. Men competing in women’s sports, regardless of how they define themselves, do not bring power to women. It usurps their power.
The purpose of this charade is to limit the power and success of women, bringing down the fabric of our society. Honestly, transgender men do not belong in the same sport as biological women. Supporting men who are transgender to compete in women’s sports reduces the entire meaning of creating the distinction of women’s sports. In due time women’s sports will be erased.
Why are we Celebrating Transgender Women as Women?
Biological women cannot compete physically with transgender men in sports. Even if these men have been given hormone blockers or have had their genitalia removed. Does this new definition create integrity in sports? Is it fair for a woman to fight a biological male in boxing? Is it even a competition? When does the new definition of transgender remove the question of right and wrong? Even Kaitlyn Jenner, who was once a male Olympic decathlon winner disagrees with this definition.
Today, we now have men in positions of power who have now identified as women and, with it, their biological affiliation. Rachel Levine, a four-star Navy Admiral, is the US Assistant Secretary of Health. Leigh Finke is a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. For 2023 Women’s Month, Leigh Finke, Rachel Levine, and Lia Thomas were all celebrated as women who have excelled. What have they excelled at? Further blurring the lines and taking the accolades away from actual biological women who have excelled.
Bizarro Right and Bizarro Wrong
However, the new transgender craze seems to dispute anything binary. It is no longer Right and Wrong, Integrity is going to be erased. It is now Bizzaro Right, and Bizzaro Wrong.
In today’s WOKE culture, it seems the very essence of right and wrong has changed. There are no longer binary choices. It is how you feel at the moment! Those who we looked up to in the past are no longer heroes. Heroes are redefined depending upon what the new mob has declared.
When Reassignment Does not Fit Social Reality
What if a white male/female one day chose to reassign themselves as a black male/female? Do not kid yourself, it has happened, and the result was a disaster. In 2015, Rachel Dolezal was a college instructor who declared and presented herself as black. Unfortunately, it was discovered that she was not at all a black woman. Rachel was canceled.
After rising to a prominent position in the NAACP, and a teacher in Washington State, Ms. Dolezal was forced to resign. People perceived her as stealing from other black women who deserved accolades. It was unacceptable. Wasn’t Ms. Dolezal celebrating black women by identifying as one of them? No, Ms. Dolezal was a white woman and was told she should not be celebrated for believing she was black.
What is the difference? Like Lia Thomas, Ms Dolezal checked all the boxes. She affiliated herself with black America and acted like a black American. Yet she was not a black American. One might say, her narrative did not fit into the woke mob definition at the time. In 2015, her existence was not in integrity. It did not fit the definition of right and wrong.
In Whose Context are These Decisions Made, Who is Making the Rules?
Right and wrong is no longer a binary choice. It is now based on mob rule. It is based upon a vocal majority imposing their opinions upon the world. Normalcy does not exist in the new Bizarro world. When will gangs decide one day to come to your town and rip out your history? Are we truly making the right decisions? Are these decisions based on integrity?
But then again, who chooses the definition of what is right and wrong? Orwell called it Newspeak- In the novel 1984. Orwell defined this as speech designed to control the speech of others and how people react to it.
In the absence of a clear definition, I will follow my father’s definition of integrity.
“It is doing the right thing when no one else is looking.”
