Women’s March Organizers Say Backpage Was A Safe Platform For Prostitutes

The ultra woke organizers of the Women’s March have expressed outrage over the closing of raunchy sex ad site Backpage.  According to the official Women’s March Twitter page, “The shutting down of Backpage is an absolute crises for sex workers who rely on the site to safely get in touch with clients.  Sex workers rights are women’s rights.”

Attached was a post from an organization called Collective Action for Safe Spaces claiming that the seizure of Backpage was nothing more than a patriarchal notion that women shouldn’t be allowed to express their sexuality.  Down with the patriarchy! Even though men are the ones buying relations online. I’d say the patriarchy gave prostitutes plenty of business.

Many social media users fired back blasting the Women’s March organization for supporting a website responsible for sex trafficking.  They stand by their statement though. According to the so-called feminists, Backpage offers a nice place for prostitutes to safely sell their bodies.

The folks over at Safe Spaces describe prostitution as a lucrative alternative to entry level work, offering women flexible schedules and an answer to homelessness.  They did leave one tiny detail out though, prostitution is illegal in the United States! Nevada is the only state in America where brothels are legal, and they’re limited to certain rural districts.  It’s unreal that women in America enjoy 100% freedom and social media is advocating prostitution online as an empowering act.

Now we have the Women’s March folks championing for illegal activity.  I went to jolly ole Linda Sarsour’s social media accounts ready to unleash comment hell, but she has decided to remain mute on the topic.

Sex workers have no rights in the United States because sex workers shouldn’t be employed in the US. Furthermore, Backpage is hardly a safe platform to sell sex on.  This is the very mindset that makes predators feel at ease using online services to solicit prostitutes. Instead of advocating for women to find legal employment, the Women’s March would rather find any reason to be militant.  There are so many more causes to take up in this country that don’t involve the sale of sex.

There’s an organization and support group for just about anything in the United States.  It’s pretty gross that one dedicated to women’s rights chooses to express outrage over the shutdown of a website that assists in the exploitation of girls and women.

That’s like arguing for nice clean streets for women to deal drugs from. All of a sudden, the Women’s March is about sex workers now? I read one testimony from a transgender woman who praised Backpage for giving her a platform to turn tricks from so she could save enough money to get a sex change.  Is this really where we are in America?

I don’t care how many flexible schedules and jobs are created online, nothing should come before the safety of children. There’s not a single cause in the United States worth giving pedophiles a free market. Not even a woman’s right to sell herself to random men.
