No Business Being in the Congress of the United States of America

By: - April 15, 2021

Over this past year it has become very clear to me that many of our members of Congress have forsaken the original intended duties of the offices they hold.  A member of Congress should be a person of great intellect who has the ability to remove emotion and conduct their actions based on factual information, comprehensive understanding, and logical thought progression.  Most people hope their congressional member will act and vote in line with their, the citizen’s thought process.  However, this nation is a democratic republic where the elected officials are tasked with gathering all the available information concerning a subject before making any determination as to the best course of action.  This is something the average American is unable to do and therefore may not understand the situation fully.  An historical example has always been in the case of determining actions needed during the conduct of war.  There are many times that if a democratic vote were to be conducted across the nation to go to war in a far-off land, the American public would reject the idea, because they do not have the available information to analyze if the action is in the national interest.

When a member of Congress conducts themselves in a manner that is clearly designed to play upon the emotions of their electorate it can be concluded that representative is not acting in the best interest of those whom he or she represents or the nation.  That representative is not performing the duties of a member of Congress.  They are acting in their own interest out of an egotistical quest for power, control, and fame.  One congressional member has shown herself to be the master of self-promotion at the expense of the nation.

One of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ latest tweets: ‘Daunte Wright’s killing was not a random, disconnected “accident” – it was the repeated outcome of an indefensible system that grants impunity for state violence, rewards it w/endlessly growing budgets at the cost of community investment, & targets those who question that order.’

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a marketing genius, with the moral compass of a fruit fly, who plays on the emotions of her constituents when it comes to her ambitions.  She knows her statement is a complete falsie, but it plays into the emotionally based disingenuous narrative that our nation has some coordinated system designed to oppress certain groups of people.  Representative Ocasio-Cortez’ statement, as with so much of what she has said and done, demonstrates that she has no business being in the Congress of the United States of America.

This congresswoman knows full well that the life of the police officer involved in the accidental shooting has been destroyed by any reasonable measure.  The no-longer law enforcement official will in all likelihood face civil and criminal prosecution, the least being a charge of manslaughter.  She will be scorned and hated the rest of her life by the emotional, uninformed, intolerant masses.  Additionally, others not even directly involved in the incident, who are connected through professional association have been greatly adversely impacted.  It is the farthest thing from exemption from punishment or freedom from the injurious consequences of an action.

It is obvious, the citizens of the 14th Congressional District of New York lack the intellect to understand their “representative” does not belong in United States House of Representatives.  We can only hope that in the not-too-distant future the citizens of our nation will elect those who will gain control of that once prestigious body and return it to being an organization that is truly for the benefit of the people.

    • Leftist reporters pretend they're not partisan news squashers
Eight years ago, the leftist media took great offense to being dismissed by Donald Trump as "fake news," but they never seemed to grasp this is exactly how they painted the conservative media, as truth-defying propaganda outlets. When the Trump trial turned to the National Enquirer, we could find national unity that the Enquirer defines… […]

The explosion of violent and shockingly anti-Semitic protests on college campuses is just the latest in a series of self-inflicted black eyes for higher education in the United States. • The 'get Trump' groupthink chorus … now on Zoom
Covering former President Donald Trump's trial on television is a difficult job. Former President Donald Trump's case prosecuted by Alvin Bragg in New York is not about truth and justice, but it is about drama, slander and smear.
