One of the existential writers of the 19th century, Franz Kafka, wrote a number of books and short stories, which had a lasting effect on my life. I doubt they are required reading today, but in my youth almost 50 years ago they were. It set the stage for my growth as a human being, my understanding of right and wrong, and the effect of what a corrupt and biased media can have on the electorate.
Book 1 – Metamorphosis –According to Wikipedia: Gregor Samsa wakes up one morning to find himself transformed into a “monstrous vermin“. He initially considers the transformation to be temporary and slowly ponders the consequences of his metamorphosis it is a story about a man who wakes up as a cockroach. It did not matter who he was before that morning, he was a cockroach, and everyone was trying to step on him. He had no clue why he was singled out, yet he had to deal with the hatred of everyone offended by his very existence.
Book 2 – The Trial – Again according to Wikipedia: On the morning of his thirtieth birthday, Josef K, the chief clerk of a bank, is unexpectedly arrested by two agents from an unidentified agency for an unspecified crime. The agents discuss the situation with Josef in the unoccupied room of his fellow lodger Fräulein Bürstner, in the unexplained presence of three junior clerks from Josef’s bank. Josef is not imprisoned but left free to go about his business. His landlady, Frau Grubach, tries to console Josef about the trial. He visits Bürstner to explain the events and then harasses her by kissing her without consent.
In summary a story about a man chosen to be put to trial. He has no idea what his crimes are, and everyone is making up things about him. Whatever he does or says is misconstrued, and there is no way he can be legitimized.
Sound familiar?
The General Feeling of Donald Trump in the Media
I make the analogy that these two works as perfect examples of how the majority of the media today feels about the soon-to-be 47th and previous 45th President, Donald J. Trump. Honestly, anyone agreeing to the conversation about stealing his wealth is in my opinion nothing short of disgusting. Living in the 21st Century, our amplified news outlets are only adding gasoline to an existent fire. Trump is bad, and the results are unrelenting.
But I ask any of the media stuck in their perfectly coiffed and sanctimonious stature to put themselves through one moment of what President Trump endured.
Examples of a lack of consistency
George Stephanopoulos – A media anchor for ABC News, he made a pretty great career coming from the press secretary of the alleged rapist-in-chief President Bill Clinton. While President, this man allegedly had sex in the Oval Office with an intern. His response to the American people was similar to George Costanza from Seinfeld, after having sex with the cleaning lady “Was there something wrong with that?” That was on top of Juanita Broderick, Kathleen Whiley, and Paula Jones (who was paid off). All of this while President and married to Hillary Clinton.
George sat in the rapture of his friend the President during these days, and unfortunately, his unmitigated muted response about his former boss was non-existent. Seemingly forgetting the serial misogyny while in office, when discussing the characterization of Trump’s accused rape of E. Jean Carroll.
In this case like The Trial, unspecified charges were brought up, never quite proven, yet designed specifically to damage the upcoming and former President, and his election chances.
MSNBC Team – Yesterday the entire MNSBC analysis team broke out in laughter, as President Trump wrote on Truth Social, trying to defend himself on his upcoming sentencing. Illegally adding the piece of salacious evidence (the payoff of Stormy Daniels), was designed to hurt the former President in the polls. Everything else about the business transaction would never have brought this to trial, let alone become a felony conviction. This was a real-life example, of using someone’s celebrity to extort money. However, MSNBC feels that whatever was happening to Trump could not have happened to a “better person.” Seemingly reveling in his misfortune.
Yet the relentless MSNBC Team Symone Sanders Townsen, who read Trump’s post, co-host Alicia Menendez, and former RNC Chair and lieutenant Governor, Michale Steele mocked the former President. With Mr. Steele calling Trump a crybaby.
Not a single one of them understood the meaning of this moment to everyday Americans.
The Democrat / Media: An Eerie Relationship with Truth
Throughout his presidency, and during the 2024 campaign and debate with Vice President Harris the left-wing media continuously, poked holes in every single Donald Trump statement. Not a single left-wing outlet had given the former President the benefit of the doubt.
While ignoring any wrong statement made by Vice President Harris, even when Trump was right, as in the Charlottesville Hoax, David Muir refused to call out VP Harris by the same standards.
Characterizing Trump as deranged as he repeated his claim that “millions of people” are “pouring into our country from prisons, jails, from mental institutions and insane asylums.”
By unsubstantiated, should someone speak to the deaths of Laken Riley, or Rachel Morin?
Trump was derided when he said that migrants were “taking jobs” from “African Americans and Hispanics and also unions.”
Unfortunately, if a single person cannot find a job, or is under-employed, they are affected. This is a viable discussion that never occurred.
Claiming that Democrats, including vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, were in favor of abortion “in the ninth month” — or even after birth. Also claiming late-term abortions are exceedingly rare, and abortion after birth does not exist.
30% of abortions are late-term or after a viable 21 weeks. – That is far from rare.
Trump’s claim that “crime in this country is through the roof,” and that FBI data to the contrary is a “fraud” because “they didn’t include the cities with the worst crime.” The latest FBI statistics are based on voluntary reporting from higher participation of cities than any year during Trump’s presidency. These statistics were conveniently changed after the debate and the actual numbers support Trump.
Trump repeatedly called Harris the “border czar.” Yet the press dismissed this as false, stating she was never in charge of border security, rather, she was tasked with addressing the root causes of migration from three Central American Countries. – According to Snopes this fact check was proven incorrect.
Democrat-Era Policies Affect the Rights of American Citizens
This citizen is appalled at our media, and I am not alone! Michael Steele, how much are they paying you to be the straight man, for the Republican Party? Do you actually care?
So it’s OK to bankrupt a former US Attorney, Mayor, and Republican Operative Rudy Giuliani, out of 148 Million. WHY? Because he accused Democrats of cheating in the 2016 Campaign? That case was shopped to a friendly region to find an anti-Trump judge, justice in this case is not blind, but zeroed in on hurting Trump supporters.
Judges are designed to rig our system, looking to make examples of those who have not bought in on their globalist socialist agendas. God forbid, people disagree with an election result.
Citizens have become de-platformed at banks at the behest of Democrats, including Barron Trump, the President’s son, who was denied opening a Bank Account at the family’s preferred bank.
J6 political prisoners, who were rioting to express their displeasure have been fighting for four years accused of an insurrection, that never happened. Some have spent years in solitary confinement, irresponsibly blamed for the deaths of Capitol Police that never occurred. Those people were correct in their assumption that the presidential results were circumspect. But not a single media news outlet thought enough to review what happened.
We the people, are just told to sit down and shut up. Unfortunately – this is America, and not Soviet Russia, or Nazi Germany.
J6 Prisoners, and Equal Justice
The J6 prisoners are a prime example of what is in store for people who disagree with the political establishment. Globalism is currently what is sold to you by a media that looks the other way at corruption. As I have said for years, when watching a regular football game, we use unlimited angles, and judges to review the results to ensure the execution of a single play is judged correctly. The election of the most important position in our country, we have to rely on people who are suspect in their motivations.
The Press as the Fourth Estate
The existence of the media as the fourth estate has been stolen by conglomerates who have stolen the message. If not for Elon Musk, who brought back the First Amendment rights of free speech when he purchased Twitter (X), our country was bound for a totalitarian government, where the people would lose their right to free speech.
That same fourth estate has the support of Democrats, RINOS, and seems to flood the media with negative Trump stories. During the campaign, he was called Hitler, and a fascist, yet with the only fascist tendencies coming from the other side. While Republicans encouraged the exercise of free speech, the Democrats called anything they disagreed with misinformation.
The media misses the good old days, when they owned the media, and effectively the message. After Fox News appeared showing an alternative, the legacy media has worked hard to decry their coverage as misinformation, Somehow, they lost the meaning of free speech, which is not to suppress speech you disagree with, but to add more debate.
J6 vs BLM Riots
Yet the whole world watched as BLM Rioters killed people, destroyed government property, looted businesses, granting lawlessness in the streets. We found this year’s Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris bailing them out of jail allowing them to go free, without consequence. It was like watching an episode of The Purge happen before our eyes. Only, at the same time we defunded the police, added millions of illegals with no business being here, legally assigning resources of tax-paying citizens to those who broke the law to get here, then taking criminals in and releasing them on the streets terrorizing our way of life.
Why?
Because BLM was on what the media and Democrat leaders consider the “correct side” of a political discussion. NOT A SINGLE LEFT WING NETWORK ASSET would do anything to call out, inspect, or investigate what happened. Looters looted hundreds of thousands of dollars, with millions of dollars of damage on both private and public property, during the riots in the summer of 2020, a reckless endangerment of our society. THAT was supported by corrupt globalists to secure their election changes. Why has not a single outlet researched the 150 Million “extra votes” that seemed to elect a frail individual to the most powerful position in our government? In 2024, these votes seemed to inexplicably disappear.
If you disagreed with any of this, you were considered mentally challenged, an election denier.
What is at The Core of the Hatred
To MSNBC’s Michael Steele, Joy Reid, Rachel Madow, Jen Psaki, and others RINOs like Steele, Liz Chaney Adam Kinzinger, Mitt Romney, and Paul Ryan; is your hatred of Donald Trump so deep, that you can’t acknowledge how over the top all of this lawfare is? As the former Lieutenant Governor of MD (the state in which I reside), no wonder you and Bob Erlich lost re-election to the clueless Martin O’Malley. Common sense, which Republicans seem to sorely lack at this moment, has left you a hollow shell of who you used to be. I used to listen to you, and now, you are a broken record, a man who in my opinion cares little about the people he said he had represented.
Now as an MSNBC analyst, you run an anti-Trump propaganda campaign, seeking to pounce on every word. Your job is more lies than information. Your final conclusions are so far off base, that normal people have fled from listening to your diatribe.
I would like to see how fast you would be crying (WAAWAA baby – didn’t you call him that?) if the US government spent countless hours to bankrupt your life, and to ruin you. Taking what you have earned your whole life, solely because you care about your country.
Your network is almost as bankrupt as your ideas are!
My country is being sold to the highest bidder, and you blame Vladimir Putin? FOUR YEARS OF GARBAGE selling a phony narrative, and now Hillary Clinton is back selling the same garbage some eight years later. Why speak of billionaire Elon Musk’s influence over the Republican party yet speak nothing of George Soros who has permanently ruined justice in the inner cities, by defunding the police, and no cash bail initiatives? Maryann Moseby, the Baltimore DA, did more to destroy the city of Baltimore than anyone since Nancy Pelosi’s father some 50 years ago.
Why do you turn a blind eye to Joe Biden giving our country away to China? Our farmlands have been purchased by Chinese conglomerates, our manufacturing has been destroyed, hollowed out, and stolen by the Chinese businesses undercutting our workers, with cheap labor. Then the media claims Donald Trump fighting back with tariffs will hurt us?
Trading manufacturing jobs for jobs at McDonald’s is not building on America’s future. No wonder why the youth believe they will never achieve the American Dream we have been lucky to be a part of participating in throughout our lives. Our leaders have sold out the American people to China, selling here because they spend millions changing the rules, to our disadvantage. They are a country that doesn’t pay its people a fair wage, Donald Trump is WRONG for attempting to bring back manufacturing.
Dumbing Down of America
Lastly, our government has condoned dumbing down America. Our education system has been dumbed down. In the 1960s the US put a man on the moon, WITHOUT A DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. Based on that education system, we achieved excellence, not DEI,. No Department of Education, just common-sense education.
Anyone who believes that a man can compete as a woman successfully has lost any vision of reality. Anyone doing this for “fairness” does not understand how patently unfair it is – this is not competition, it’s misogyny. Women, unfortunately, seem to take it, refusing to acknowledge that this thought is wrong. Any advantage a biological man has is one advantage too much. Just because you feel like a woman one day, does not make you a woman, and you do not have the right to redefine what a woman is for me.
Anyone who believes that thought has no business calling themselves American. It is part of a socialist manifesto to promote based on racial or social profiles rather than merit. These people have no clue about what success is. Regardless of naysayers, Donald Trump is successful. He earned his wealth and has every right to tell the world about it. He also makes no bones about it that he could never have achieved this in any other country in the world, the United States of America.
The other side is, based on DEI, we can no longer have first place trophies, and class valedictorians, because losers might get their feelings hurt. Not understanding that losing builds growth and provides a learning experience. We have ruined the pursuit of happiness, by allowing everyone who competes to be equally rewarded. Let’s not have a Super Bowl or a World Series winner, and give everyone a trophy for Most Valuable Player.
Our media has taken the last 40 years to downplay strong men; to make us feel like we are inadequate because we strive for greatness. Donald Trump is wrong because he amassed money and power. He achieved greatness, in the greatest country in the world.
Americans are frighteningly tired of politicians that have turned themselves into an elite group. They refuse to acknowledge that they are elected at the will of the people. They do not know that our republic defines us as gaining power by the people. Constant re-elections, without any kind of accountability, has unfortunately become the norm, and the people in the last election rejected that behavior.
Appreciation for the people they purport to represent has disappeared. Treating outsiders like Donald Trump as people who are ill-advised to run, has turned our politics into a casino, where the “house” is all of the incumbents waiting to welch off the people. Where else can a former NY bartender, who barely had enough money to get an apartment in DC after her election 12 years ago will now become a multi-millionaire all on a salary of $174,000? The rules are set up against ordinary Americans, and Donald Trump has the ear of the people, begging him to do something. He is uniquely qualified to do this, and the people know, there are few like him.
The House of Representatives and US Senate are now a casino where they have become the only winners. This is not the America I know, filled with people gambling away the future of our country. They place their bets on guaranteed winners only, politicians greasing their pockets in ways so they can win, identifying in advance who the winners are.
Democrats, and RINOs, just do not understand the popular support for Donald Trump – so let me explain it to you. He did not, like so many lifelong politicians, make his money off of the people. He rebuilt the NY skyline and worked to build an empire. Do not blame him for his success, but rather revel in the fact that any American can achieve greatness. Unless you are Michale Steele, and feel it is fine for the government to steal from its citizens.
