James Carville, an octogenarian Democrat strategist described these days as struggling to find relevance, regularly unleashes wild and provocative rants against President Donald Trump.
Sometimes they border on threats, as does his newest, when he, according to a report at Fox, “gloated that Democrats after the midterms will have the power to investigate Trump, his family, and their spouses.”
Of course Carville is making the assumption that the Democrats, with no strong leader to rally around, will sweep the elections in November.
Carville’s point was punishment is coming for Trump … and his family.
“Let’s talk about your future, your post-November future,” Carville said, anticipating widespread defeat of Trump and the GOP. “The Democrats are going to investigate you to no end.”
“They’re going to start going after you. Then they’re going to start figuring out where all the money stolen is. Then they’re going to go after your stupid jacka– kids and their spouses and all the other bulls— that you see, and they’re going to investigate the s— out of you.”
Carville is fantasizing about the president getting punched by Mike Tyson.
Democrats already have begun making wild accusations that President Trump somehow will tamper with the midterm elections.
It was a changed tune for Carville, who prior to Trump’s 2024 victory claimed he would “mass-arrest his critics,” according to the report.
He’s on “a different tune” now, “where it is actually Trump who will be the one facing legal persecution. One theory he has floated several times is that Trump will be so stymied by November’s defeats that he will voluntarily resign early, having his replacement, Vice President J.D. Vance pardon him on the way out,” the report charged.
He continued, “When it comes to the stuff you’re doing in Iran, I got to tell you, you’re getting really, really, really close to war crimes here. You’re probably going to cross the line. And the one thing that Democrats are going to insist on in the 2028 election is that if you’re indicted by the international courts and I think it’s in Hog or Hague or somewhere in the Netherlands, we’re not going to protect your a–, not gonna protect you.”

The White House response? “James Carville is a stone-cold loser who clearly suffers from a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
Carville’s record on predicting elections is suspect. In fact, wrote before the 2024 vote, “Three Reasons I’m Certain Kamala Harris Will Win.”
And there’s already precedent for presidents to issue pardons for their family, as Joe Biden did for Hunter Biden.
