A school district in Colorado already known for its leftist agenda – it’s being sued right now for imposing its transgender ideologies on young students by trying to force students of the opposite sex to share beds on school trips – has delivered another enhancement to its reputation for crackpot ideas.
Now a teacher has censored, banned in fact, a student from reading an assignment to her class.
It’s because the poem written at the directions of a 7th-grade teacher, who is unidentified as this point, promoted life.
Other writings blasting the Second Amendment, promoting LGBT activism and lashing out an immigration enforcement were fine.
A report at Not the Bee explained the sequence of events.
“A middle school teacher in Colorado has, according to this student, decided that protecting ‘safety’ means silencing a girl’s artistic expression because she likes babies. … Her submission? A pro-life piece loaded with Bible verses, Dr. Seuss references, and sobering abortion statistics.”
It was Libs of TikTok that, online, tracked down the fracas and asked the girl, and her mother, for comments.
“Staff admitted that the poem met all the requirements however couldn’t be read out loud because it’s ‘politically charged.’ The teacher also initially tried kicking this 13-year-old girl out of class during the poem presentations but allowed her to stay after pushback. We spoke with the mother and daughter who shared their story and with us and why being pro-life is so personal to them. This happened at Drake Middle School in @JeffcoSchoolsCo,” the group reported.
EXCLUSIVE
Colorado Teacher REFUSED to allow a 7th grader to present her pro-life slam poetry submission because it’s “offensive” and might make kids feel “unsafe.”

The text, provided by Libs of Tiktok:
A life is a life, no matter how small.
Seventy-three million people have been killed in one year and will be killed again this year, if not more — when they are completely innocent humans.
They never get to see the light of day before they are cast away. They did nothing wrong except exist and were dismissed. People say women need healthcare but never think how unfair — they kill babies for simply being there!
The Word of God says, ‘You knit me together in my mother’s womb.’
How come we never listen to this and try to send them to the tomb?
I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. His works are wonderful. A person is a person, no matter how small.
Life is life — no matter how small.
We often forget this important detail. This detail could save our lives.
Sixty percent of babies who weren’t intended have died because of this.
Why do people kill these innocent babies with the pill? Why do people say babies in their wombs are mistakes and things need to be gotten rid of? Why, why, why?
When you ask someone if murder’s bad they say yes, of course. But when you tell them that killing innocent babies isn’t good enough — they shame you.
They blame women’s rights on healthcare but what about the baby’s right? That’s unfair. From where they were created they are a human person. They were created in God’s image.
People say women’s rights are healthcare. That’s just a clump of cells. But no one dwells on the fact that the baby still has a heartbeat at six weeks. Boom boom, boom boom.
Nothing compares to the love a mother has for her baby. So just maybe we let them have a chance to live and that love will grow
Destruction, dismay, dread. When will people comprehend this needs to come to an end?
Our life is our life — no matter how small.
Colorado, in fact, has over recent years while Democrat homosexual Jared Polis has been governor, repeatedly has launched war on Christians, demanding they change their beliefs to support the state’s LGBT agenda.
State officials have brought cases against a long list of Christian individuals and organizations, from bakers and website designers to schools and counselors. It repeatedly has lost at the Supreme Court, costing the state’s taxpayers millions and millions of dollars in funds wasted on failed agendas.
On social media, comments included:
“OMG, this is hypocrisy at its best! And politicizing our kids according to their woke agenda – I would sue both the teacher and the school for violating her constitutional rights. Enough with the woke censorship!”
“The left likes to threaten, and she is just a child, and they wouldn’t care and attack her anyways.”
“When students are only allowed to think what the teacher allows them to think, it is not School, it is Indoctrination Camp.”
