‘Democratic socialists?’ Their own statements promote communism * WorldNetDaily * by WND Staff

President Donald Trump has been warning that a new crop of political candidates that recently have won Democrat primaries, sometimes booting party personalities who have been in their congressional seats for decades, are actually “hardcore Godless communists.”

Of course, the media “corrected” him, with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins insisting, “While Democrats themselves have been wrestling with what Tuesday night means for the direction of their party, socialism, much less democratic socialism, is not communism.”

But if you believe those Democratic Socialists of America members’ own statements, they explicitly call themselves Marxist and push communism.

The most recent develop in their agenda was the primary win by Melat Kiros, 29, an anti-Israel activist and lawyer, who easily pushed Rep. Diana DeGette, a Democrat who had represented Denver in Congress for 29 years, out the door.

A commentary explained Kiros already had attracted attention for calling the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7 “an inevitable consequence of the apartheid, of occupation, decades of occupation.”

She also wildly demanded, when asked if 9/11 was “the inevitable consequence of American foreign policy,” “Inevitable in the sense that we destabilized a lot of the Middle East, which led people to believe that another act of violence was the only response. Our responsibility is to get rid of those conditions that lead to violence in the first place.”

She simply pushed the responsibility for the terror that left nearly 3,000 people dead onto America, rather than those who committed the crimes, meaning, the commentary suggested, “there is no atrocity that couldn’t be explained away as the inevitable consequence of something the victim did first.”

Earlier, several political battles in New York ended with results similar to the DeGette failure.

It is in a report at Just the News that the DSA members’ own claims to communism are outlined.

The report said the communist elements “control a significant portion of the DSA’s National Political Council, the body responsible for governing the party, according to a review of party records, social media posts, and caucus platforms.”

The report said 10 of the 25 members belong to a caucus that espouses communism or have explicitly supported the ideology in public statements.

The ideologies of Zohran Mamdani, New York City’s mayor, in support of abolishing prisons, ending deportations, implementing Medicare for all, and creating federal job guarantees are well known.

One of the recent political upstarts, Darializa Avila Chevalier, “reportedly maintained a Twitter account for years that expressed support for communism and Marxist ideology, including sympathy for Soviet figures,” the report said.

A DSA party co-chair, Megan Romer, is a member of the Red Star caucus of the DSA, “which explicitly pronounces its ultimate aim: the overthrow of capitalism in the U.S. and, eventually, attaining communism,” the report said.

That group claims, “We understand Marxism as a living, breathing theoretical framework, which is not and never can be a static set of dogmas. We see Marxism as the foundational and most informative lens through which to understand the workings of capitalism.”

Its own statement demands, “Red Star caucus is a Marxist-Leninist caucus in DSA. Our primary goal, the goal which informs all of our organizing work, is to abolish capitalism and, ultimately, to achieve communism.”

The report explained, “Red Star’s goal is to build toward a ‘Revolutionary Situation,’ like the Russian Revolution, that would bring about the end of capitalism in the United States.”

Romer, in fact, promoted the ideologies of Vladimir Lenin, Ho Chi Minh and Che Guevara.

“Come read Lenin, Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, and (of course, I picked the readings myself) Marta Harnecker and talk about the theoretical basis for mass protagonism and collective member/cadre/organizer development,” she boasted on social media just months ago.

Other DSA groups, Bread & Roses and the Marxist Unity Group, also promote communism, the report said. Bread & Roses “calls for a radical redistribution of wealth – apparently by force,” a component of communism, the report said.

And the DSA’s Libertarian Socialist caucus says it is a “political home within the Democratic Socialists of America” for “libertarian socialists, libertarian Marxists, anarchists, left communists,” and other ideologies on the left-wing of the socialist movement.
