President Trump Friday announced on Truth Social that the U.S. has entered an agreement with Venezuela to secure American control of more than 67 billion barrels of oil in that nation – “at no cost to the American taxpayer.”
Trump said both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth worked with Veneuzelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez on the deal.
While the president mentioned the involvement of “private business,” he did not specific which companies specifically.
