Former President George H.W. Bush had some biting words for President Donald Trump. In a new book titled “The Last Republicans” he referred to President Trump as a “blowhard.” This assessment comes after 5 women accused the elder Bush of sexually assaulting them, citing incidents where the former president told them dirty jokes while touching them inappropriately.
While many prominent men have recently entered the spotlight, George H.W. Bush has largely escaped criticism for his behavior. The Bush camp issued a public apology to the women affected, but mostly played it off as “good natured” touching. The apology came on the heels of a social media post made by actress Heather Lind, alleging that she was sexually assaulted by the former president while promoting a historical TV show 4 years ago.
Former President George W. Bush echoed his father’s sentiments saying President Trump, “doesn’t know what it means to be president.”
