Jussie Smollett Case Follows the Deep State Pattern of the Russia Collusion Hoax

By: - March 31, 2019

It’s been staring us in the face. In the middle of the Jussie Smollett hoax is a clue to how President Trump was sandbagged by the Deep State. An obscure Obama official followed the same pattern as the Russian collusion hoax, the Steele dossier, and the Mueller investigation.

Kim Foxx, Chicago Police, and the FBI

Kim Foxx is the State’s Attorney for Cook County—what most cities call the District Attorney. She was elected with the help of over $400,000 in dark money from George Soros. Soros has spent heavily in state and local prosecutors’ races all around the country, in a campaign to ensure that only progressives decide who is investigated and prosecuted.

Foxx was caught exchanging text messages with Jussie Smollett’s family during the Chicago Police Department (CPD) investigation of his hoax hate crime. She promised to try to transfer the case from the CPD to the FBI. The texts indicate clearly that she believed an FBI investigation would be more sympathetic to Jussie than a local police investigation. Smollett’s relative said it would be “a huge victory” if it were transferred.

Smollett’s Obama Connections

Smollett and his family have close connections to highly placed people in political and celebrity circles. Sen. Kamala Harris spoke up on his behalf the day he reported the (staged) attack, and said he is her friend. Kamala Harris and Sen. Cory Booker introduced a Senate bill that week to outlaw lynchings (which most Americans thought were already illegal). The timing was so coincidental that it looked staged, too.

Most interesting among Jussie’s connections, however, is the Obama family. In Florida last fall, Jussie campaigned alongside Valerie Jarrett on behalf of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum. Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, is a close family friend. Tchen connected the Smollett family with Kim Foxx, helping them request the transfer from the CPD to the FBI.

Why the Feds?

Are we missing something here? Why was it so important that the federal authorities take over the investigation?  Why would that have been “a huge victory”?

Are there Obama loyalists in the Chicago FBI and the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Northern Illinois? Almost certainly.

It is probable that most of the senior DOJ and federal law enforcement officers in the Chicago area were promoted by Obama administration officials. Republicans in general pay little attention to the appointments and promotions of career officials. They fail to realize the enormous power wielded just below the line of political authority.

Democrats know it very well, however, and let political considerations influence promotions of civil servants (in spite of laws prohibiting it). That means that most senior career officials in the Trump administration are Obama loyalists. That will be true especially in Chicago, the home of Barack and Michelle, of Hillary Clinton before that, and of the most powerful Democrat political machine since Tammany Hall.

Are there Obama loyalists in the Chicago FBI and the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Northern Illinois?  Almost certainly. Obama understands the importance of law enforcement and prosecutorial discretion just as well as George Soros does. And he would never leave anything that important in his home town to chance—or to Republicans. Surely Kim Foxx and Tina Tchen know the Obama loyalists in Chicago’s federal offices, and were therefore eager to transfer Smollett’s case to federal jurisdiction.

Obama’s allies in Chicago did for Smollett in microcosm what they did on the national stage for Hillary Clinton and against President Trump. Obama loyalists who controlled the top ranks of the FBI, the Justice Department, and the intelligence agencies went easy on Hillary. Then they used a bogus file of political opposition research and complicit media outlets to hobble the Trump campaign, post-election transition, and early presidency.

When they wanted to help their Chicago friend, they knew exactly what to do. They tried to transfer the case to federal authorities, where they had loyal friends and allies who would make the problem go away. They followed the established pattern. It’s all right there in front of us.
