Dems Already Planning 2020 Cheating

By: - June 13, 2019

The happy hour and water cooler scuttlebutt around DC these days is that the DNC is planning on putting as much effort and money in legal activities related to 2020 races as they may on media and GOTV.

That means, to put my old Army intel analyst hat back on, they are preparing for legal challenges to many of their actions. In common parlance, they’re gonna cheat.

The three main ways are likely to be the awarding of electoral votes to national popular vote winner scam, ballot harvesting, and legal challenges on anything and everything. This is designed to slow up election results and make the president’s possible reelection clouded in controversy and uncertainty. It’s basically a continuation of the childish authoritarian fit they’ve had since they lost 2016. But now, they have quite a while to plan and execute it.

For those of you bemoaning these actions on their part, get hip. The Dems have stopped acting in any way as an actual political party. They are now concerned with only one thing: gaining power by any way short of outright violence. And the only reason they dismiss violence is because they know they would lose.

Sure to be shot down by the high court, expect any state that goes for Trump, if the national popular vote goes to the Dem, to be sued to bring their electoral votes in line with the Dems. Several states have already passed measures proposing this. As the Dems have won the popular vote every time aside from 2004 since 1992, because they rack up big numbers (mostly fraudulent votes of the dead and illegal voting) in the urban centers of Dem states, expect a lot of litigation. The Dems know they will eventually lose on this. However, winning is not their goal here. Clouding the water is.

Ballot harvesting, where non-government officials (usually Dem party hacks) magically find extra votes and deliver them to polling centers after the polls close, will be much in evidence. This appears to be bald-faced cheating, and it is. That’s why states that value voting integrity, like Texas, have outlawed it. But other states that swing Dem and thus will commit any transgression to win, like California, have made it legal and used it to unethically turn GOP congressional wins into defeats. They do so by discovering these heretofore unknown ballots that just so happen to correspond in number and vote tallies to the number the Dem needs to win the seat in question. Yeah, it’s corrupt as hell. So is California. Given their success with it there, the Dems will try to replicate the process anywhere they can get away with it.

Finally, any locale a Republican wins a federal office, up to and including the presidency, the Dems will conjure up out of whole cloth charges and allegations that have no basis in truth or reality. They will have compliant judges set and ready to rule favorably and kick the charges up the judicial ladder where they will get lots of press and legal notoriety.

The Dems think this whole operation is a win/win for them.

If they win, they will cheat to destroy the GOP at every level or office it may win, thus seeking to deny conservatives and courageous Republicans (Vichy Republicans like Bill Kristol will quickly collaborate) a fighting chance against the upcoming socialist onslaught. If they lose they’ll tie the results up in court and continue to shriek that the administration is illegitimate.

Whether this effort is a win/win for America is something that doesn’t matter to them anymore.

If it ever did.

Correction: Yesterday, in a headline on Mexican concessions to the president on border security, I used the word “make” when “convince” would have been better. Several readers justifiably called me out on it.

Given they only commented on the headline it is probable, like a good number of those who comment on pieces (aside from you, dear reader), they did not read the piece itself. Though they felt comfortable making an editorial judgment. Some readers merely write their mantra, no matter what the subject at hand. If I had a breaking story that the Earth would be destroyed tomorrow by collision with Mars, many readers would just comment “Trump 2020.”

I digress.

Of course, it can be said that by threatening a five-percent tariff on their goods coming into the U.S., the president did indeed “make” the Mexicans come to heel and did “make” them take steps to avoid the tariff. But, it was in the context of negotiations and thus “convince” was more accurate.

Mea culpa.
