Putting aside for the moment the fact that her beloved icon, the disgraced 44th president, opened those facilities and thus she is comparing him to Hitler, as someone who has visited Dachau perhaps I can help clarify her historical analysis.
Let’s see. One worked people to death, and/or mechanically killed them, in the service of the kind of ideology, socialism, that the congressgal supports. It was barbwired and guarded by vicious dogs, machine gun nests, and the ideological ancestors of today’s Democratic Party, given their shared reflexive anti-Semitism.
The other is a place illegal aliens have freely traveled to by their own efforts.
They travel there in contravention of the law of their now host country. They are fed, housed, educated, given healthcare, and they receive other benefits not available to many Americans. Not even available to U.S. military veterans who have bled and sacrificed for their country. After that, most are dropped off on the streets of major American cities. Thus making their trek a successful one.
Plus, last time I read the history, people were not trying to get into Dachau to the number of thousands per day.
AOC is either too dumb to know the difference, likely, or too delusional to recognize the difference, more likely. In the warped world she inhabits, if you oppose her you are the nexus of evil and thus fit for any manner of destruction. Which ironically is the same tactic used by the people who ran the real Nazi camps.
The facts be damned, for reality is a mere casualty of leftism when it comes to AOC thought patterns. And in the Dem congressional caucus there are more people than not scared to contradict the girl, lest they be consigned to the outer rings of the leftist orbit. Probably somewhere around Connecticut.
That is her level of power today. That is also the level of moral and intellectual cowardice predominant for some time in the Democratic Party.
