Election fraud may be among the lightest things Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic are investigated for. Their relationship goes a lot deeper than election 2020 fraud investigations and the implications get worse the deeper you go.
Here are a couple of questions for the lawyers out there. What would you call it if the two companies in question were in the position to write election policy at the state level, teach secretaries of state how to implement their policy because they own the seminars and organizations, and then demand the election results their machines churn out are accepted without question?
If there is any question about their results you need to ask them to police themselves for an answer.
Does the term racketeering come to mind?
At the federal level, the Constitution provides little recourse for oversight even during a federal election because election processes are the responsibility of the states themselves.
These vendors control not only the means and methods of elections; they also are the judges over whether or not the election went as planned. Here’s the fun part, the governments don’t get to decide whether or not the companies played by the rules because…the companies wrote those for the states too.
If this had come up on a different US President’s watch, we would be watching American Democracy sold for nickels on the dollar, just ask Joe Biden.
In April 2019 when the voter vending machine companies performance came up before Congress, the Guardian highlighted this fact in ‘They think they are above the law’: the firms that own America’s voting system.’ The fact is until today, not many people outside the companies have any idea how they go about their business of dispensing Democracy to a paying clientele.
Bloomberg reported “The maintenance of Americans’ constitutional rights should not depend on the good graces and sketchy ethics of a handful of well-connected corporations like ES&S who have stonewalled Congress, lied to Congress, have questionable judgment when it comes to security, and have repeatedly gouged taxpayers,” said Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), who’s been pressing the companies for information since shortly after the 2016 election.
Answering Sen. Wyden by email was Dominion Voting System’s own Kay Stimson, vice president of government affairs “We want to make sure that we are telling the story of what Dominion is, and how deeply the company is invested in our mission, hopefully dispelling myths about our industry along the way.”
If Stimson’s name sounds familiar, it should. She’s the Dominion rep that backed out of testifying in Pennsylvania after President Trump’s attorney Sydney Powell leveled accusations at her company. I’ll get back to Stimson momentarily but here’s where Dominion and Smartmatic get together and generate influence.
At the Second Online Symposium on ‘Elections in Times of Epidemic’ hosted by the ASSOCIATION OF EUROPEAN ELECTION OFFICIALS (ACEEECO) Richard Soudriette (Honorary Member, ACEEEO, former president, IFES) emphasized the importance that all candidates pledge to recognize the results of the elections, a condition that is unusual and would be unnecessary in normal circumstances.
This June 4th, 2020 statement doesn’t stand out until you know who he was asking this pledge from. Soudriette was addressing NASS (National Association of Secretaries of State) at a forum for Eastern and Central European states. The question of why the US was involved at all comes to mind.
Discussion of the upcoming US general election was on the table that day with input from Central and Eastern European countries like Ukraine. This may be one of the reasons attorney Sydney Powell is saying the CIA may be directly involved.
According to his bio, Richard W. Soudriette is the chairman of the SGO Smartmatic International Elections Advisory Council. He serves as an international advisor to AWEB. He is a founding member and adviser to the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO).
From 2009 to 2015 he served as president of the Center for Diplomacy and Democracy in Colorado Springs. From 1988 to 2007 he was the founding president of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Washington, D.C. Under his leadership, IFES became one of the premier providers of international democracy assistance.
He served as a member of the U.S. Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee on Democracy Promotion from 2006 to 2008. He was a founder of the Global Election Organization Conference (GEO) in 1999 and the ACE Knowledge Network in 1998.
Through Richard Soudriette, Smartmatic looks like it was attempting to get US secretaries of state to certify whatever results came in 5 months before the election happened.
This same Kay Stimson Congress said was stonewalling, overcharging state governments, and lying to Congress can be found at the National Association of Secretaries of State. Dominion Voting Systems is too entrenched not to influence state-level election policy and outcomes along with Smartmatic’s Business Development Manager, Denis Bechac.
According to her bio, Stimson is the Chair of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council for election industry providers. She represented both the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) in media and government relations positions.
When you consider all of this as well as her being listed as the Director of Communications for the NASS, it’s no wonder Dominion and Smartmatic don’t take election fraud investigations too seriously.
Looking into company ties to all the states is probably why state officials need to be investigated along with Dominion Voting Systems.
The contractor makes the product and decides the price, overcharges and won’t disclose what they do. They influence state governments and tell them how to use their product. The states aren’t allowed to look into the process even though multiple allegations spanning a decade across both parties and every other country these companies work in are reported on. The company does it for them. If there are problems the company polices itself?
A lot of Mafia guys would have liked this deal. This looks like a good case for RICO Rudy Guliani to be on.
