A President Being Presidential

By: - September 1, 2017

“There wasn’t a problem until President Trump called them on it.”

If you bypass the media garbage, what you find is President Trump doing his job. Whether it is readjusting the White House staff, which all Presidents do, or trying to deal with the daily crises as they happen, President Trump is just doing his job.

No President in history has been so maligned and so attacked — despite fake stories, innuendo, and the out and out lies those that oppose the president put forward; he is doing the people’s business.

President Trump came out and said what we all saw on TV.  It was not one side that was at fault for the violence there, it was both.  He said that.  As a non-politician, he called it as he saw it.  There was more than enough blame to be placed on both sides.

He has been said to be a foreign relations disaster by the Democrats — the losing party.  They just can’t seem to get past the fact that their chosen candidate, a tried and true party insider and manipulator did not get elected.  So let’s look at that with the blinders off.

President Trump made big news when he hinted that the US was not so committed to NATO.  He and his staff told the world in no uncertain terms that NATO had to pony up its fair share.  He said the American people would no longer foot the bill.  Loud recriminations, wringing of hands, and calls that Trump was destroying the world was the story of the opposition.  What actually happened?  NATO committed to paying their part.  There wasn’t a problem until President Trump called them on it.

With President Trump’s commitment to obliterate ISIS, Iraq and Syria are no longer under the control of the terrorists.  No, it is not finished yet, but with the President not afraid to call it what it is — Radical Islamic Terrorism — the fight is surely turning.  It is clearly understood the battle against the terrorists will morph into different tactics, locations, and organizations. But with the solid commitment from the President to take decisive action, as opposed to repetitively moving the line in the sand, there is a good chance this scourge can be defeated.

The President’s hard line approach in dealing with the tin pot dictator of North Korea was the only way to go.  The world and almost everyone in the Democrat party said President Trump was sending us directly into war. What happened? North Korea blinked. South Korea, Japan, Australia, and other nations stood on the side of the U.S.  The UN, including Russia and China, voted to increase strong sanctions on North Korea.  Once again, President Trump was right.

Through court shopping, the Democrats found judges that tried to stop President Trump’s efforts to curb wide open and dangerous un-vetted immigration into the U.S.  In the end, the Supreme Court sided with the President.

The UN has long had a policy of population replacement through immigration.  The U.S. has been a target of that, and the Obama administration embraced that goal.  President Trump correctly resisted that effort and put a stop to it with an immigration cap of 50,000 — half of what the Obama administration had authorized.

Even without the wall that President Trump has said he would build, immigration is down by magnitudes. Just his words and his efforts to give Border Patrol, ICE, and Customs back their tools for success have greatly lessened the flow of illegal immigrants across our southern border.  He has accomplished the goal without building one mile of the wall.

What must be acknowledged is that he is getting the job done. We need to support the President.  Not because we did or didn’t vote for him, but because he IS the President.  Hoping he fails is tantamount to hoping the U.S. fails. In my thinking, that is not only unpatriotic but subversive and against the good of the country.

    • The way Trump can end inflation pronto
Inflation is a disaster. It is destroying our economy. It is destroying our paychecks and buying power. It is destroying the great American middle class. It is destroying our retirement plans. And it's destroying jobs. President Joe Biden claims we are creating jobs. We are – only millions of crappy, part-time jobs for unskilled, uneducated… […]
    • Biden's tariffs & EV mandates: A horrible combination
Not long ago, President Joe Biden promised to transform the American auto industry – "first with carrots, now with sticks," is the analogy The Washington Post used. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not sure I'd trust the president to drive my car much less dictate the future of industrial policy. Yet, Biden… […]
    • Are we still 'America the Beautiful'?
In late May of 1990, my newlywed husband and I removed our wedding finery, climbed into his pickup truck and embarked on a planless, leisurely tour around the southwest. We saw many wonders, both big and small: the Grand Canyon, the Vermillion Cliffs, Mesa Verde, Canyon de Chelley. We also saw amusing or interesting roadside… […]

    • Is this really the best Democrats can do?
Today's Democrats really makes you wonder if legendary Thomas Sowell had them in mind when he stated, "We are living in an era when sanity is controversial and insanity is just another viewpoint." • Can we really know the will of God?
Does God still speak to people today? Let's be honest, when someone says that God has been talking to them, we get a little suspicious, sometimes even a little concerned. So, does really God talk to us? Does God Almighty actually have a master plan for our lives? And if so, how do we discover… […]
