Amash Awash in Stockholm Syndromes

By: - May 20, 2019

Over the weekend, GOP Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan became the first Republican congressman to back impeaching the president, accusing him of “impeachable conduct.”

The poor wee lad. He’s now basking in the glow of the lavish approbation of mental giants like Alyssa Milano and hearing the sweet honey of praise pour into his ear from Adam Schiff. But, glory is fleeting and soon those caressing murmurings will be forgotten as the news cycle moves on. Then his attempt at throwing the president to the wolves to save his own political hide will not seem as brilliant. Not to mention, Republicans will now line up to challenge him in the primary.

Amash’s attempt at siding with those who would do him harm because he is, ostensibly, a Republican will be seen for the desperate play it is. But, why so desperate Justin?

You know why.

Because your masters are peeved.

You see, Rep. Amash is a co-owner of a firm called Dynamic Source International. The company supplies products to another company, Michigan Industrial Tools. All well and good up to this point. One detail though: Dynamic Source is located in Hangzhou, China. Something tells me the real owners of Dynamic Source aren’t too happy with the president’s stance on trade as of late. So, the orders likely went out: activate Amash. Put him to work. Let’s get a little ROI for the PRC.

Amash may be so panicked that this gets wide play that he is willing to do most anything to do the bidding of Beijing, lest they drop him and he is left with politically nowhere to run. Perhaps down the road, literally left with nowhere to run. Yes, probably he knows he is on their leash. As it happens in this sort of thing, maybe he became compromised inadvertently. But, too late now. The hook is in. Hence, Stockholm Syndrome once again.

He also toys with Libertarian politics and some in that party think he is looking for publicity to help his run for president on that ticket. That’s possible. However, the Chinese angle and his attention whore traits are more probable scenarios.

So he will get his fifteen minutes of fame and the Dems will mark Amash for the weak sucker the Chicoms already know. A party switch may be in his future and subsequent press accolades. If not, and even if, he still takes his place as a miniscule footnote.

A proper status for a man such as this.
