The United States is a huge country filled with so many things to do. Every state is different and offers cool, fun and unique attractions, sights and activities to see and do. Here are cool attractions in every state in America.

1. Alabama

Cathedral Caverns: Cathedral Caverns were originally called Bat Cave but were renamed because of the cathedral-like appearance. The caverns have a massive entrance and is the first thing tourists notice when visiting. The entrance is about 126 feet wide and 25 feet high.


2. Alaska

Denali National Park: Denali is now almost six million acres. A lot of the park remains untouched by human development. The park also only has one road that runs through it with just six campgrounds on site. The lack of roads and other developments at Denali National Park is what keeps it so beautiful.


3. Arizona

Antelope Canyon: Antelope Canyon is separated into two different canyons, Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Upper Antelope Canyon is called Tsé bighánílíní, “the place where the water runs through rocks,” and is most commonly visited by tourists. Lower Antelope Canyon is called Hazdistazí, “spiral rock arches.” Although it is not possible to visit the canyon without a tour group, there are several guided tours that are offered to give you the chance to see the beautiful Antelope Canyon.

Natural Bridge of Arkansas: The Natural Bridge of Arkansas is one of the coolest destinations in the state! It is a 100 foot sandstone formation that forms a bridge.

Joshua Tree National Park: Joshua Tree offers several different activities to enjoy such as camping, hiking, climbing, driving, birding and astronomy. No matter what you are looking to do there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Garden of the Gods: Garden of the Gods is one stunning view to see. This natural attraction is free to visitors. If you’re willing to pay extra, there are guided tours offered as well. The visitor center is a fun and educational space that is free as well!


7. Connecticut

Kent Falls State Park: Kent Falls is one of the largest set of falls in Connecticut and one of the most beautiful natural attractions to see in the state. Kent Falls is the perfect place for hiking and a picnic in the summer!


8. Delaware

Hagley Museum: The Hagley Museum first opened its doors in 1957. The museum features several exhibits about the connections of early technology and American history.

O’Leno State Park: O’Leno State Park offers several different activities to participate in such as hiking or biking trails, camping, swimming and picnics. All this for only $5 per vehicle!


10. Georgia

Amicalola Falls State Park: Amicalola Falls is one of Georgia’s most beautiful and exciting sights to see. Besides the falls there are plenty of other activities on site to enjoy for the day or you can even make it a weekend trip.

Byodo-In Temple: Byodo-In Temple is a small replica of a famous temple in Japan. The temple is a non-practicing Buddhist Temple so it is welcome to people of all faiths to worship in.


12. Idaho

Boat Box Hot Springs: Boat Box Hot Springs is a really interesting place to see in Idaho. There is a pipe that comes straight from the spring pouring water into the tub. This water is very hot so there is also a bucket to add cool water from the river to keep the temperature balanced.

Primal Oceans Salt Cave: Not only is the Primal Oceans Salt Cave a beautiful sight to see, it is also an extremely relaxing experience as well. Breathe in ionized air that is cleansed with pulverized salt all while treating yourself to a nice spa day.

Basilica of the Sacred Heart: This gorgeous church is on the University of Notre Dame campus. It is a place for worship for any student, alumni, faculty and staff as well as visitors.

There are so many things to do from roller coasters to water rides to slow rides as well, everyone can enjoy their time here. There are also several different season events that happen everywhere to get you in the spirit for the upcoming holiday.

The Political Art of M.T Liggett: This is a free attraction on the north side of US Hwy 400. They are personal opinion pieces by M.T Liggett of different political figures. There are also works of art of his past girlfriends and sometimes different animals such as dogs or chickens.

Mammoth Cave: Besides just cave tours, Mammoth Cave also has many other activities to do. Camping, horseback riding, and bicycling are just a few. If camping isn’t really your thing, there is also a lodge to stay in during your visit.

Barataria Preserve: The Barataria Preserve allows you to get up close and personal with a swamp without having to ever step foot on a boat. There is no food or lodging on sight but there are places near by available.

The Kennebunks: There is so much to do at the Kennebunks no matter the season. There are beaches and boating in the summer and and ice skating and skiing in the winter. The Kennebunks is a very versatile vacation spot and you will be able to do something all year around.

George Peabody Library: George Peabody Library is located in the Peabody Institute of Music at John Hopkins University. The George Peabody Library is not just a library, but also used as a wedding and event venue.


21. Massachusetts

The Thunderbolt: The Thunderbolt is a rollercoaster hidden in the mountains. It is the longest mountain coaster in North America at 3,870 feet. The cart goes at a speed that you can control as well to make sure everyone is comfortable on The Thunderbolt.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is by Lake Superior and includes several different outdoor activities in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can experience fishing, boating, bicycling and swimming. In the winter you can participate in ice climbing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

Valentine National Wildlife Refuge: The Valentine Wildlife Refuge became one of the Great Plains Top 50 Ecotourism Sites in 2012. At the refuge you can see several different types of wildlife such as different animals or species and the wetlands.

Lake Tahoe: Everyone has heard great things about Lake Tahoe and for good reason. There is so much to do throughout the year. During the winter there’s skiing and summer can include kayaking and water skiing. There are beautiful mountains and lakes to be explored at Lake Tahoe.

Not only do you get some exercise and a place for kids to burn some energy, you also get to see the beautiful multi-drop cascading waterfall. Whitewater Falls is over 400 feet tall and well worth the trip!

Wildlife Safari: The Wildlife Safari is a can’t-miss attraction when visiting Oregon. It is a drive through animal park that features over 500 animals from all around the world.

Natural Waterslide at Warren Falls: The natural swimming pools at Warren Falls are amazing as is, but the natural waterslide is definitely something you should consider doing when visiting Vermont. The rocks are perfectly smooth making it a safe and fun water slide people of all ages can enjoy!

Devil’s Bathtub: The hike to the Devil’s Bathtub is difficult, but well worth the challenge. The Devil’s Bathtub is a smooth, natural swimming hole and a huge highlight on the Devil’s Fork Loop Trail.

The Hoh Rainforest: The Hoh Rainforest is a must-see in Washington. The winter season brings a lot of rain to the Hoh Rainforest which results in extremely lush and green scenery.

Blackwater Falls State Park: Blackwater Falls State Park offers so many different activities to get involved with. There is hunting, hiking, geocaching, golf, train rides and so much more. It is definitely worth a stop on your trip to West Virginia.


50. Wisconsin

Witches Gulch: To get to the Witches Gulch, you must take a boat tour there. There is no road access to get to Witches Gulch. You can wander through the narrow canyon on the boardwalk to experience the wonderful sights that are offered.


51. Wyoming

Crazy Woman Canyon: Crazy woman Canyon is located in the Big Horn Mountains in Johnson County, Wyoming. There is a lot of see along this beautiful drive. It is a pretty bumpy ride with very narrow roads so you must be careful driving.
