How many guys do you know of currently serving their communities as a police officer while cashing in on million dollar contracts with the NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL? Whether the men and women on this list served prior to, during, or following punishing careers as professional fighter, they all have one thing in common. They know what it’s like to work a crime scene, confront the worst of us, and go to work not knowing if they’ll make it home again. These thirteen people are not only natural born fighters, they’re natural born protectors. It’s for that reason they are all champions.
