Bottle Breacher Leads the Way in Successful Veteran and Military Spouse Business

OpsLens Deck of 52 Most Wanted Post 9/11 Frontline Leaders

In 2018, as a spin-off and salute to the original 2003 deck of 52 Most Wanted playing cards, let’s honor post 9/11 frontline leaders here at home. Once a week, for 52 weeks this year, OpsLens will post a card highlighting one of the 52 Most Wanted Post 9/11 Frontline Leaders. You’ll learn the top facts about their business or organization, as well as why they made the list, which comes down to impact, scalability, health, and unique value proposition.

I encourage you to look for these weekly updates, share the card with your network, and support or buy the products and services they offer. See the 52 Most Wanted Post 9/11 Frontline Leaders launch story here.

Crew Served is a term I learned in the military that means more than one person is required to operate a weapon system. And if you are using a .50 caliber ammunition, this is unmistakably the case. All the more fitting that husband and wife crew Eli and Jen Crane founded Bottle Breacher in 2013, a dynamic partnership of a former Navy SEAL and resilient military spouse. Their flagship product is a recycled, authentic decommissioned .50 caliber bullet that was modified to be a bottle opener. The trajectory of their business from one that began in a one-car garage exploded with over 20,000 orders when they appeared on Shark Tank in November 2014. Sharks’ Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary quickly invested and mentored Eli and Jen, and today, their business features an ever-expanding product line serving customers both domestically and internationally.

The Cranes are entrepreneurial breachers aiming to provide the best handcrafted, personalized man-gifts, groomsman gifts, and corporate/promotional products on the market. They make all their products in the USA, with a belief that it is their duty to serve those who serve us. With their success, they have donated to over 200 nonprofits supporting military veterans, active military personnel, first responders, children’s foundations, and many more. They are also generous in sharing the lessons they have learned along the way, and encourage others to embrace what has helped them achieve personal and professional success: Commit, Adapt, and Overcome.
