Rapper Bow Wow Threatens to ‘Pimp’ Melania Trump Over President’s Response to Snoop Dogg Video

It seems like Bow Wow needs to be taught the difference between right and wrong all over again if those he disagrees with are relegated to a life of prostitution under his pimp hand…

As if the controversial Snoop Dogg music video that depicted the assassination of President Donald Trump wasn’t shameful enough, another member of the hip hop community just turned up the heat to demonstrate how petty and disgusting he can be.

President Trump took to Twitter to respond to the music video by stating that had the video depicted former President Obama, it would have been received much more harshly.  This is a statement most can agree with on either side of the aisle. Then, the rapper Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) decided to get on Twitter to weigh in.  Using foul language and sounding quite uneducated, Bow Wow proceeded to respond directly to President Trump telling him that if he didn’t shut up about Snoop Dogg, they would pimp First Lady Melania Trump and make her work for them.

This statement needs to be brought to light and strongly condemned by the entire hip hop community.  This rapper perpetuated a very dangerous stereotype that has plagued the hip hop community since practically its inception—that the only thing rappers are involved in are drugs, violence, and degrading women.  Violence towards women is a huge problem today, as is human trafficking.  Bow Wow has crossed the line from “professional entertainer” to scum.  There is never a good reason or excuse to speak about women that way, let alone the First Lady. This is not what the hip hop community should be about and shouldn’t be condoned.

Snoop Dogg is an established entertainer and chose to express political views on a national platform via his music video and should be able to handle whatever is dished back to him.  The fact that Bow Wow felt that he needed to come to his defense is not only pathetic and juvenile—the threatening manner and tone he used to do so was out of line and dangerous.

Another rapper also weighed in via Instagram using a string of obscenities and childish insults directed at President Trump.  While that reaction was also uncalled for and completely counterproductive, that rapper kept President Trump’s family out of the rant.  The many organizations that work hard to ensure businesses associated with President Trump are boycotted need to step up and add Bow Wow to that list.  His remarks were outrageous, and there needs to be a national reaction to such sexism and threats of violence towards women.

Advocacy groups need to speak out and spread awareness so that these incidents can be addressed on a platform that can affect change. It seems like Bow Wow needs to be taught the difference between right and wrong all over again if those he disagrees with are relegated to a life of prostitution under his pimp hand.

As to the signs held by and the slogans chanted by the "pro-Palestinian" protesters, switch out the words "Jew" or "Jewish" and insert the word "black."
