IED’s Everywhere: These improvised explosives aren’t confined to rural areas. IED’s and Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) are frequently used to target coalition forces and the government of Afghanistan facilities in large metropolitan areas. The number of times our buildings rattled and shook due to nearby VBIED’s was innumerable.
