While first responders were furiously fighting raging wildfires in California and families were evacuating their homes to safety, comedian Chelsea Handler thought it was a good time to use the dire situation as a platform to go after … President Donald Trump.
“Just evacuated my house. It’s like Donald Trump is setting the world on fire. Literally and figuratively. Stay safe everyone. Dark times,” the comedian tweeted.
What’s saddest about the tweet is this: There doesn’t seem to be a joke anywhere. Handler is absolutely sincere in her anger toward Trump about the fires.
It’s a dangerous level of hysteria, especially for someone in the public eye.

It’s not the first time Handler has put her foot in her mouth when trying to discuss politics, which is an issue for her, since she’s said she wants to focus on political activism as her Netflix talk show comes to an end.

Handler has previously called White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders a “harlot” and said she would not want to interview first lady Melania Trump because “she can barely speak English.” As everyone can tell — she’s very “woke” these days.
The response to Handler’s comments, especially her most recent one about the tragic fires, has not been kind — which hardly bodes well for her future in “political activism.

California is Burning, it’s a very dangerous situation people are losing everything and Chelsea Handler’s first thought is to blame Trump. What a joke the left is.
No wonder they keep losing.— Ava Brooke (@AvaBrooke6) December 7, 2017
I can’t believe some of the comments I’m reading. You all realize people are losing their homes, pets and family? Right? You all make me sick.

The first thing that comes to my mind with the hashtag #snowflakes is Chelsea Handler.. That woman is unhinged and unstable.

Your house is literally burning down, along with many other people’s homes. People’s lives are stake, and you make your tweet about Donald Trump…. I feel bad for you. It’s really sad. I hope everyone stays safe during the #LAFires.

Even in times of tragedy and loss, @chelseahandler has time to continue her anti-Trump agenda. Beyond pathetic… https://t.co/nTdh7C584o
