Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone began his revolution on social media, posing in uniform at his West Point graduation while also voicing his support for Communism and Che Guevara in particular. The revolution was immediately successful, with the United States military overthrowing democracy and installing the world’s latest and most successful socialist government…

Actually, this statement is not completely accurate. While Spencer’s socialist revolution was just as successful as any other socialist revolution, it must be noted that this actually means it was a failure from the start. Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election is still ongoing, but it became clear on June 18 that “The Second Lieutenant Rapone and President Putin Traveling Road Show” had been cancelled by the Department of the Army.

“I consider myself a revolutionary socialist. I would encourage all soldiers who have a conscience to lay down their arms and join me and so many others who are willing to stop serving the agents of imperialism and join us in a revolutionary movement” wrote Spencer Rapone.
It is being reported that Rapone has received an other-than-honorable (OTH) discharge from the United States Army, with Spencer reportedly resigning his commission after being found guilty of “conduct unbecoming an officer.” However, this has not yet been completely confirmed. An OTH discharge is the most severe administrative discharge, with lifelong implications. While someone with an OTH discharge may qualify for some VA healthcare, however, veteran’s benefits are not usually available to those with this type of “bad paper.”

Of course, as a socialist, I am sure that Comrade Rapone would not want to receive any benefits that all of his fellow proletariats were not already receiving. He may also have a statutory bar to VA benefits under the law if he resigned “for the good of the service.” The U.S. Army is not releasing details at this time, so Rapone could be theoretically receiving all of his VA benefits, as he was previously an enlisted man which would mean he has an honorable discharge in his records.
On the other hand, the Army could also potentially seek the repayment for the cost of Spencer’s education, as he did not meet the five-year service requirement after his West Point graduation.
“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct,” per Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Only one thing is certain for now. The former Butter Bar will be forced to seize the means of production from an employer who won’t be too concerned about hiring someone with an other-than-honorable discharge on his record. I predict this proletariat will soon be challenging the bourgeoisie at your local 7-Eleven.
After all, Spencer has vowed that “Communism will win” and he seems like the type who always finishes what he starts…unless of course referring to military service. I, for one, look forward to the day when Rapone’s DD-214 will be preserved in a coffin filled with embalming fluid and placed on display in a city square near you.
