Juli Briskman no longer has a job, but she doesn’t have any regrets either.
On October 28th a woman on her bicycle flipped off President Trump’s motorcade as it made its way through Virginia. The incident was caught on camera by a Reuters photographer and quickly went viral. Now, the woman who flipped the President off, Juli Briskman, has been handed the pink slip by her employer for putting up “obscene” social media posts.

Apparently, Briskman wasn’t expecting to draw so much attention to herself over the incident. It was just a few momentary flicks of the finger. Unbeknownst to her, a Reuters photographer captured it on camera. Once the image went public, it quickly went viral. In the long run, that cost Mrs. Briskman her job as a marketing specialist.
Briskman set the image as her profile image, and then told her employer of her rising social media fame. Already, the incident was becoming a hot topic in the news and on the late night circuit.
The next day, her employer, Akima LLC, decided to sever ties with her owing to the incident. Akima relies on government contracts for a significant portion of its business. The company was apparently worried that Ms. Briskman’s activities could endanger the company and its government work.

Akima claimed that Briskman was forbidden from having lewd or obscene content on her social media. Flipping the President off was obscene in the company’s eyes. Briskman doesn’t regret a thing, however, stating that she’s happy that she’s an image of protest. The former marketing specialist has become a media sensation.
President Trump’s motorcade was making its way back to the White House following a golf trip to the National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. Many have criticized President Trump for what some deem to be excessive golfing. As of November 7th, 2017, a website called ‘Trump Golf Count” claimed that the President has gone golfing at least 73 times. The website put the cost of these trips at over $77 million, although the accuracy of these numbers is questionable.

A similar website, “Obama Golf Counter” claims that throughout his President, Barack Obama golfed at least 306 times. This would equate to just under 40 golf trips per year. President Obama was criticized by his opponents, including Donald Trump, for his golfing habits.
