While President Donald Trump has become well-known for voicing his personal dislike for national news reporters, there’s one TV journalist he says should not be fired, despite being employed by a network he says in a “death spiral.”
Trump said Saturday on Truth Social: “CNN is in a DEATH SPIRAL, and so is MSNOW, the new name for MSDNC – Literally, nobody is watching either Network!
“The best person on CNN is Pollster Harry Enten, because he was willing to show that Donald J. Trump is six times more popular than Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, or any other President – He’s got Credibility (Don’t fire him!).”

Last week, the CNN statistician Harry Enten noted of Trump’s popularity: “I just love this one. ‘The President Republicans most admire,’ it’s Donald Trump. This is a historic comparison. A majority of Republicans, 53%, say he is the Republican president they most admire. Ronald Reagan, who traditionally has won that, Donald Trump nearly triples up on this. Reagan at just 18%.
“And then Abraham Lincoln, who by most historic accounts is the greatest president of all time, but Republicans say that the president that they most admire by … six, seven times, as many, Donald John Trump at 53%, easily crushing Abe Lincoln at 8%. And the Elon Poll shows that he was the greatest president as well, Donald Trump.”

Trump is also offering a ray of hope for the Cable News Network founded by Ted Turner, saying: “CNN can be turned around with new Leadership and Anchors (MSNOW cannot!), because a Great Brand can never truly be destroyed!”
Enten is not always shining sunshine in the polls for Trump, as he also reported this week on low approval ratings for the president in his second term, saying: “How low does he go? Well, this is a president who is stuck on empty.”
“The president’s approval rating simply put is low, net approval rating is low. It is staying low and there is no sign that he is getting out of the basement. He is stuck below the ground.”

As WorldNetDaily reported in June, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office: “CNN does such false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe it’ll straighten it out. I doubt it. But it’s hard to straighten garbage out.”

Trump often singles out CNN’s Kaitlan Collins for her negative reports about his administration, saying to her face: “CNN’s a very corrupt organization with a corrupt reporter standing right there. [She] never smiles. A young, beautiful woman, never smiles! I never see a smile on her face.

“I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes. She has hatred because we have borders, because have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted. And then we win our election in a massive landslide.”
After Trump last month likened Collins to Bud Light’s infamous transgender figure Dylan Mulvaney, CNN Worldwide Chairman and CEO Mark Thompson issued a statement indicating: “We stand by our journalists and the integrity and fair mindedness with which the CNN team reports the news.

“Honest, accurate journalism may sometimes irritate politicians, but our right to report and present that reporting to the public without government interference is fully protected by the U.S. Constitution. CNN will continue to exercise this right.”
