First Ex-Officer Convicted Of Trying To Aid Islamic State

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The first police officer charged in the United States with attempting to support the Islamic State group was convicted on Monday.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Nicholas Young was found guilty by a federal jury of attempting to provide material support to the militant organization.
