Enes Kanter Freedom gets kicked out of a WNBA game for wearing a T-shirt with the definition of a woman on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026

The WNBA has been embroiled in scandal for weeks now, following Fever guard Sophie Cunningham’s statements that young girls should be protected in locker rooms and in sport, should not have to go against biological men.

The result has been a multitude of attacks on Cunningham, and not just verbal. They’ve been physical.

Further the league, without saying why, has refused to allow Enes Kanter Freedom, a former NBA player who declared himself a woman, to be considered eligible for the women’s league’s draft.

He’s a defender of women’s sports, and has created a disturbance in the WNBA universe with his claim to eligibility. The result was teams have started banning him from games, even as “Roysha” White, also of the NBA, joined Freedom’s agenda.

But now a report confirms that the league already has allowed a transgender player to participate:

A report at the Gateway Pundit explained, “Former WNBA trans player Layshia Clarendon posted photos of herself on social media after she had her breasts removed in 2021.”

The league didn’t explain its rejection of Freedom and White, but now there’s news “that the league previously allowed trans players to play.”

The report noted, “Clarendon was born a female but decided to have her breasts removed while playing in the WNBA. She played in the league from 2013 to 2024.”

“The league allowed Clarendon to play while receiving testosterone, but Royce and Enes are not allowed?” the report said.
