Hate Crime Hoaxes On the Rise: What is the Left Even Doing?

By: - July 26, 2019

Erica Thomas (pictured holding bullhorn), an elected official from the Democratic Party serving as the Georgia State Representative of District 39, came forward recently with shocking claims of horrific racist abuse that she received while grocery shopping for her family. In her account, a white man began berating her and telling her to “go back where she came from.” Immediately, the mainstream media began talking about this as a direct consequence of President Trump’s words and actions; the hashtag #IStandWithErica began trending on social media.

In an even more disgusting turn of events, the man involved stepped forward…a Hispanic man and life-long member of the Democratic Party. He states emphatically that he was the man in question and that Erica Thomas is completely fabricating the details of their disagreement. For what it is worth, he “hates Trump.”

The so-called victim of the attack? Well, now Mrs. Thomas is walking back her claims; it turns out the entire disagreement involved her taking too many items into the express lane at the grocery store. Race was never involved, nor was it mentioned.

One would think after all of the hijab attack hoaxes, the debacle of the fake story about Covington Catholic students, the claims of vandalism that turned out to be self-inflicted, and even the entire Jussie Smollett faked hate crime attack, that the left would understand that this is not okay and it is destroying their credibility.

It’s as if they don’t understand that they are handing the 2020 election to President Trump with their dangerous and deranged behaviors.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Erica Thomas and her supporters to apologize for inciting racial hatred with their baseless lies.
