Journalists with legacy media corporations, from wire services to television stations to radio to publications, often push their politics these days, instead of just reporting the facts and letting people decide.

Such apparently is the case with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., which has issued a memo to staff members not to describe 9/11 as terrorist attacks.

The 25th anniversary of those very terrorist attacks is coming up in just days.

So the CBC delivered an internal memo to reporters instructing them, “Do not refer to the Sept. 11 attacks as terrorist attacks.”

The attacks killed almost 3,000 people when terrorists from the Middle East. linked to the designated terrorist group al-Qaida, hijacked four passenger jets. Two of them were deliberately crashed into the Twin Towers in New York, causing them to collapse, and kill thousands.

Anther jet hit the Pentagon, and the last, in which passengers and crew members rose up and fought the terrorists, crashed into a Pennsylvania field.

A report at Fox said, Kerry Kelly, a public affairs official for the CBC, confirmed, “It is the practice of the CBC to exercise extreme caution before using the words ‘terrorist’ and ‘terrorism.’ The memo was a reminder of the longstanding practice that favors the use of these terms with attribution in our reporting.”

The memo was written by Basem Boshra, CBC News’ “senior director of journalistic standards and public trust,” the report said.

New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino responded:

“The CBC guidance is frankly outrageous and insulting, but it stands as a stark warning for what happens when you allow institutions of public trust to be taken over by leftists and foreign interests,” she said. “This is not merely a callous disregard for the memory of those who perished on 9/11, it is a deliberate effort to undermine the fundamental truth of what happened that day in direct service to Islamism, as Europe, Canada, and the United States become increasingly overwhelmed by Islamist politics. We must not tolerate it any longer and dedicate ourselves to fighting this poison with every tool we have available before it’s too late.”

The FBI’s determination is that 9/11 is the most lethal terrorist attack in history.
