“Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston, who was given the role to play after appearing in a series of failed television comedies and now has a net worth estimated in the hundreds of millions of dollars, has delivered her opinion on faith: It’s essentially fiction and she doesn’t “do it.”
The negative attitude about religion was revealed in recent comments posted online by Blaze TV and drew a response from Allie Beth Stuckey, author of the New York Times bestseller “Toxic Empathy.”
Aniston said, “If religion is something that divides people based on absolutely nothing factual about the human being and their heart, because you grew up in this home and it represented that. And that’s what you learned. Then go out and you believe. Critical thinking, free thinking isn’t sort of allowed, or it’s condemned or told but fear of God that you’re going to go to hell for something. I don’t do it.”
Jennifer Aniston says religion divides people based on nothing factual…@conservmillen responds and sets the record straight: “The Gospel divides even families and friends, but it unites the body of believers around the good news Jesus brings.” pic.twitter.com/9ChkbIvhjU

Stuckey pointed out that Christianity is “based on fact, on the historical evidence of Jesus Christ.”
She said the Gospel “divides families and friends,” but unites the body of believers.
Aniston, now in her 50s, was in “Friends” from 1994 to 2004. She’s been given a Primetime Emmy, A Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild awards.
She is in her family’s business, having actor parents John Aniston and Nancy Dow.
Her initial regular television role was in “Molloy,” which quickly was canceled.
Social media responded quickly:
“Anyone taking any kind of life advise (sic) from @officialaniston should have their head checked. This is someone who does not have stable relationships with her parents or any significant other she’s ever been with. She is the common denominator period.”
“This is a crazy take. Insane. Truth divides people? Sure, it divides the educated from the uneducated. That’s your argument??”
“I’m happy it divides us! Separates the sheep from the goats! You’re either with Jesus or without.”
“Read Micah 7:5-7 and Matthew 10:35, among others. Faith and trust in Jesus divides people based on WHO is their Lord and Savior.”
“Coming from someone who makes a living by make believing. Maybe she needs to stay in her fantasy lane.”
“In Luke 12:51-53 (and Matthew 10:34-36), Jesus states, “Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division”. If you want to follow Jesus, everybody’s not gonna like it. The devil roams the earth like a lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
