A debate between candidates for U.S. Senate from Michigan had the Democrat Socialist blasting President Donald Trump, complaining his opponent is a “rubber stamp” for the president.

While the GOP candidate warned that his opponent “has taken money from individuals on his campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaida” and more.

The race is considered one of the most competitive contests in the nation, with millions of dollars pouring into Michigan from both parties. Republican Mike Rogers is opposing Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, a controversial figure even among Democrats because of his extremist ideologies and socialist agenda.

Rogers charged of El-Sayed, “He’s taken money from groups associated and support the Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money from individuals on his campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaida. He’s taken money from the George Soros family.”

El-Sayed claims Rogers is a “rubber stamp” for Trump, whose work during his terms in office include halting a number of wars around the world, bringing an end to Iran’s threat to obtain and use nuclear weapons against civilians in Israel, and a move toward a more limited, and less costly, federal government.

El-Sayed noted, “This is about whether you can afford your gas, your groceries, and can see a doctor. It’s about whether or not you trust your Senator to stand up for you against Trump.”

Videos posted online included that from President Trump, who confirmed Rogers “obliterated Mohammad El-Sayed.”

Loomer Unleashed said Rogers credited his mother with working for the Chamber of Commerce while El-Sayed’s worked for “that organization that was indicted for funneling money to al-Qaida.”

They argued about the properties they own: Rogers’ in Florida and El-Sayed’s apparently overseas.

And Rogers cited the socialist’s “refusal to condemn the IRGC,” that terror-supporting faction in Iran.

A report at the Center Square said both sides claimed victory.

“One thing that was made clear tonight – Mike Rogers is going to win in November. Mike showcased exactly what his priority is: serving the people of Michigan,” said Rogers’ Campaign Communications Director Alyssa Brouillet. “All Conman Abdul El-Sayed gave them were lies. He continues to dodge the hard-hitting questions and to leave Michiganders without answers.”

El-Sayed’s campaign said, “Abdul El-Sayed dominated tonight’s U.S. Senate debate, putting Mike Rogers on the defensive over his corrupt Washington record, deep ties to corporate special interests, and full-throated support for Trump policies that are crushing Michiganders with higher costs on everything from gas and groceries to healthcare.”
