Antagonistic North Korean leader Kim Jong-un continues to have too much time on his hands, as he released a new propaganda film this week. In the new film, North Korea blows up a US aircraft carrier. While most experts will brush off North Korea’s oft bombastic behavior and chalk it up to just plain craziness, a new level of boldness does seem to have generated within Kim Jung-un.
Still, despite the seriousness of this threat, the most entertaining and least talked about portion of the propaganda film is the content that follows the destruction of the US carrier. Were North Korea not a global threat and the enemy of many, one might push them into a career of making silly late night TV shows to help their struggling and cut-off-from-world economy. Their are certainly a few moments in the film we would tune in for again.
