In an interview with RFE/RL during a visit to Washington, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze said that the war in Ukraine has shown other European countries the importance of investing in their defense capabilities. Asked whether Russia is ready to seek a peace agreement in Ukraine, Braze said “the political will is not there.”
