This actress actually believes Mother Nature is expressing her ‘wrath’ over the results of the 2016 election

Actress Jennifer Lawrence believes Hurricane Harvey and now Irma are nature’s “rage and wrath” following President Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. election last year.
In an interview promoting her new movie, “Mother!” the 27-year-old artist touched on politics, climate change — and the current political rhetoric in the United States.
“You know, it’s this new language that’s forming. I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting,” she said on British network Channel 4.
The reporter then egged on the actress by saying, “And you have voted very recently, as a country.”
Lawrence replied that Trump’s victory in November was “startling” and then proceeded to say she felt that recent disasters were maybe caused by that “startling” victory.
“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath,” she said.
She also later said that Trump and U.S. politics were “really polarizing and upsetting.”
For an actress with such ability and talent, it’s rather amazing how myopic Lawrence appears to be in her view of the world. She complains that politics is “polarizing” — then blames devastating hurricanes that are ravaging parts of the world and the country on the winner of the presidential election last year.
That’s exactly the sort of hysteria and shortsightedness that is creating extreme polarization in this country.
And if a person’s first thoughts about hurricanes such as Harvey and Irma are about pointing fingers at our current commander-in-chief — and not about helping people, about assisting victims, about reaching out a hand in kindness, thoughtfulness and human decency — then this person has a problem and is caught up in so much hysteria that clear thinking isn’t possible.
The actress at least deserves points for consistency. Back in 2015, Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly that a win by Donald Trump in the presidential election would “be the end of the world.”
