Continuing her national television tour, Stormy Daniels appeared on The View in her first live interview. The porn star appeared alongside her attorney Michael Avenatti to speak about developments in her case and answer questions posed by the panel. The conversation took an interesting turn when conservative Megan McCain accused Daniels of showing up to the Michael Cohen proceedings as a publicity stunt. Avenatti claims they were granted access because documents regarding the Michael Cohen investigation are directly related to Stormy Daniels.
Megan McCain also pressed Stormy Daniels about career choices she’s made, specifically the strip club tour she has embarked on titled “Make America Horny Again.” Daniels claimed that she didn’t come forward for publicity, but because she was tired of being bullied. According to Daniels, she hates the title of her newfound strip club fame and has asked several times for it to be changed. Even so, she will continue taking her clothes off for money because she’s been doing it for decades.
Daniels also defended taking advantage of career opportunities that have come her way since she took the spotlight. While she has had a significant raise in income, Daniels claims that she now has to spend more money on things like security and tutoring for her child.

Since Stormy Daniels came forward with allegations against President Trump and his attorney, she has accepted lucrative offers from the adult entertainment industry. The public opinion on Daniels seems to be split, even among the most anti-Trump crowd. While there are those who support her telling her story, some wonder what story she is really trying to tell.
When she appeared on The View, Daniels released a sketch of the man she claims approached her and threatened her into remaining silent about Donald Trump. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly Stormy Daniels is trying to achieve. The idea that she’s gone public about supposedly being a mistress some years ago to benefit the people of the United States is ludicrous. The woman accepted payment in return for silence and is not a victim. She’s an opportunist who saw how much more money she could make by talking about the alleged affair.
I don’t dispute that some of the allegations made should be investigated. I don’t think Stormy Daniels is telling the entire story though. I also believe that if the alleged affair actually occurred, this woman should be ashamed of herself. Knowing full well that Donald Trump was a married man, she had no qualms about taking her clothes off.
I have problems with the way she described the so-called incident, like it isn’t what she wanted but she went through with it all the same. The way she conducts herself gives her zero credibility. Why would someone accept money in exchange for silence? She had legal representation acting in her best interest and now wants the public to have sympathy. It’s disgraceful that in the wake of the MeToo movement—where women are feeling empowered to speak about sexual assault—Stormy Daniels wants to cash-in tawdry stories.
