National Security Poll: Do you think the Democrats will be successful in blocking General James Mattis’ required waiver to become the Secretary of Defense?

Shortly after President elect Donald Trump named retired General James Mattis as his choice for Secretary of Defense, Democrats took to the podium citing their desire to block his appointment. Because of U.S. law, which requires at least seven years of separation from an individual’s last command, General Mattis must obtain a waiver from Congress to serve in the post.  Mattis retired in 2013, just three years ago.  Do you think with a Republican controlled House that they can successfully block the General’s appointment?  Vote below.
